I Painted My Friends Harley Davidson With My Lovescript And It Got Totally Ruined With Gasoline

I was elated when we decided to paint my friends Harley Davidson. I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The Lovescript is a special form of writing that I chanel through out my work. It’s at times prophetic, including messages of love and connection to the infinite.

The piece was created of the span of a full day. We started early in the morning and finished late at night. The entire process was filmed. Since the gold is a metallic paint, it needed to be coated with a special clear coat. Mausa was on his way to get it coated when he was low on gas. He pulled into the gas station and as he was pumping the gas, it overflowed. The pump had a mechanical failure and spewed the gas all over the tank. Smearing this $85,000 original piece of art. When I heard the news I was truly sad as I felt it was perfect at the time. It’s a tough lesson, I should’ve had it Coated for him asap. I’ll be repainting it soon and then getting it Coated for him soon!

I’m so happy that my film crew from Martin Anthony, USA and GSocial were there to capture it in it’s glory. I can’t wait to paint more canvases in motion. Till then here are the videos and photos of The Sabet x Harley Davidson bike.

Ali, I am quite certain that by now you have realized there are automotive clear coat paints you could have put onto the tank to protect the art. If someone hires you again to do such a piece, check it out, it will save you a lot of consternation. Great work by the way, its nice to see different forms of art being put onto motorcycles, the skulls and fire and all the other stuff is a bit over done I personally think. But again, that's just me.

Thank you Tony! I urged my friend/client to get it coated that day.. or at least the next day. He chose to take the risk. We had a place lined up for the bike to be taken to. Unfortunately it didn't make it. I'm going to repaint it if he chooses to for free. But it seems like he might keep it with this story getting the attention it's getting. Thank you for the kind words and respecting art in general.

"$85,000" ... must be nice to arbitrarily decide how much your work is valued. One day's worth of work means what? 12 hours? So you charge over $7000 per hour?

If someone is willing to pay that price, that is what the art is worth. The value of art is not decided by the artist, its decided by the customer.
