This all started while I uploaded a picture of myself into Adobe Illustrator. I spliced my mug and reproduced it and then placed it side by side, calling it mirror imaging. I then started doing it with famous people I downloaded on the Internet. Some of them turned out to be hilarious.

These are so awesome! Tilda Swinton's was my favorite, it's a work of art!
The artist intentionally finds people who are scewed in the original photo. Since it's just supposed to be art, I guess that's okay, but I admit I was expecting headshots that were facing the camera dead-on to illustrate how assymetrical people really are. I'm not sure what the point of using celebrities is if that's not what you're doing.
