I create an ultra-modern neon UV photography as a way to escape my chronic pain. This is the seventh piece I have created since my car accident where I was struck by a drunk driver. In the past five years, I have turned to art as a way to articulate my voice and handle the trauma. This series was called “Neon Opium” and as a person who deals with chronic pain and having to take opiates, it was my way of showing the world that even when your life changes you do what you can and push forward.
I shot this series on a Nikon D850 and edited with Adobe Creative Cloud. The full series took about 25 hours from start to finish.
