I started creating my temporary mosaic beach art in Huntington Beach, CA 3 years ago as a way to practice creativity by using what I find around me on the beach. It has been nothing short of amazing how people have connected with what I do and humbling to know that even simply made things in such a complex world are still important and appreciated. When not on the beach I work with glass, stone, mirror and tile to make my mosaic art in a much more structured environment and made to be…not so temporary. I truly enjoy working in both ways but there is something special about creating a piece knowing it will only be around for a short while. I think it forces you to be present and for me personally…helps me to be in a creative mindset where I can’t overthink anything and allow it to evolve naturally.
