I Create Photographic Stories With Children

My name is Mari Nino and I am a fine art photographer from Surgut, Russia. I began taking pictures in May 2011 and went immediately into conceptual photography. I want to share my art, my point of view and evoke emotions of the viewers. My pictures show my world perception and deepest dreams. I also write essays that cast light on themes of the picture I create (for instance, such essays as ‘3 things never late to learn’, ‘debates on talent’, ‘5 ways to live a happy life’, etc).

I want to share my project – ‘Within their eyes’, which is dedicated to children and their own picture of the world. The first time I faced betrayal of a close person (close to that time, I thought) I was completely devastated by how cruel and miserable one can be towards another person. And that got me thinking where all this negativity and arrogance come from. The answer was not hard to find – from childhood. Childhood is the period of time that build us as personalities, it is the time when we begin to have our own point of view and values. Our family helps us to explore the world for the first time in our life. But childhood is also time where a disbalance can take place. My series of pictures ‘Within their eyes’ is an endeavor to portray childhood as it is. And I hope when my little models grow up and I show them these pictures once again they would be satisfy with who they are and how they treat people around. That is how I decided to takу picture of children.

The project is in progress and there will be some new pictures. I would like to hear your opinion.
