It’s so rewarding to know that each workday will have a cat butt element to it, and that it will make someone somewhere smile. My studio is filled with colorful little rear ends, literally hanging around… waiting for their forever home.

Each cat butt started off with regular yarn and only were available in “real” cat colors. While I still do make those original cat butts, the fun started once I started using all sorts of colors to create these butts. Once I started layering in fingering weight yarn to the original yarn, it was a game changer. I was still able to create “realistic” cat colors, but they could have some color intertwined with the secondary yarn also. Each cat butt result is a surprise, depending on what color combinations of yarn I am using.

I have been crocheting cat butts out of various yarns for almost 10 years, but it’s still so incredibly rewarding to see each little tush appear right in front of me! Plus, cat butts are hilarious. I laugh every day.
