At the beginning of the summer is already so hot that we want some refreshing food and drinks. Speaking of summer and freshness what is coming to mind first? Holiday, blue sea, icy cocktails, and sweet juicy fruits. Which summer fruit is the queen of juiciness? The watermelon of course!
I would like to present you with watermelons that should not be eaten because they are so exquisite. These pieces of food art are hand-carved by me, a carving artist from Bulgaria.
This watermelon collection is a small part of my food carving work. Some of these watermelons can be seen in hotels on the Bulgarian Black sea coast as a decoration in the restaurants.

This watermelon reminds of of bloomin' onions and foods like it. Now I'm hungry
So they can't be eaten? Are they to sit and rot?? They ARE beautiful, however there ARE starving people all around the world. If someone presented me a carved melon, believe me, a pic would be taken. It would be appreciated. But my kids would then enjoy a melon!! I really hate food waste.
I can't believe I missed this thread for so long! These are amazing!! This is the work of a true artist. One with talent, patience, time, and precision. (All qualities I do not posess) lol I CAN however, enjoy them for what they are, beautiful and delicious!!
These are absolutely beautiful! I can completely appreciate the time and effort that you put into these. However, I am an artist who just can't do intricate work that won't last, whether it's fruit, cakes, or anything else that is temporary. I really enjoy doing tedious work but I feel much better when it lasts a long time.
