I loved ballet since I was a little girl.
As long as I can remember, I have abandoned my new Disney cassettes whenever there was Swan Lake on TV. I always wished I could move like that (well, didn’t we all?) But, I had two left feet and no decent dancing studio in my city, so ballet had to remain a dream.
It always mesmerized me how the dancers can concentrate with thousands of eyes tracking their every move. And then I got it, there’s a trick about ballet. There’s so much going on, that you really need to know where to look in order to see something.
So I took a dancer off the stage and illustrated the “Dance, like noone is watching” in the glasshouse jungle.
Because in the end, nobody is watching. Nobody knows where to look.

Share on FacebookBeautiful work! I had 9 years of ballet , & , it's very hard work to look so graceful. You put up with callouses , sore muscles , & , foot injuries. It instills a lifetime of discipline, agility that leads to better than average balance , & legs that are strong enough for many activities . Mine was figure skating .
thanks Nancy! I can't even imagine how much determination and self discipline (aside from physical effort) it takes! But, the dancers make it look so easy and effortless when they're flying across the stage!
