I Am Creating A Graphic Novel Webcomic About Steampunk Octopuses

I have had an idea for a group of Steampunk octopuses going on adventures for over five years. I created a website, designed my characters, and then, aside from updating the website periodically, didn’t do much with it for four years.

Finally in 2017 I revamped everything and decided to take these octopuses on some serious adventures! I am creating stories following a team of four individuals exploring the world outside of the ocean, focusing on the people they meet and the things they find.

While the 8 League Adventures team is out traveling, there’s a whole town of octopuses living near a reef who are publishing their newspaper twice a week, so you get a taste of the hometown of this team as well through the front page.

I am a children's illustrator currently living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. I graduated from Wayne State College in 2000 with a BA in K-12 Art Education and English Literature. Since then I’ve meandered through several careers, receiving a BS in Software Engineering in 2007, only to find my way back to where I started with my love of art.
