I haven't been able to work due to 1st shoulder's recovery. So for Christmas, I'm broke, rideless, and without my two furbabies

I always thought PE looked creepy. My grandkids were kind of split on that. The biggest problem with Polar Express is the "uncanny valley" effect. They tried to make realistic looking CG characters at a time when they were not yet good enough at it. Effects artists will talk about how you have to be on one side or the other. Either obvious 'cartoon' - Simpsons, Family Guy etc. or - or whatever is a good example of pretty realistic looking people. They are getting there now though. deep fake videos, realistic looking games.
