This Instagram Account Collects Funny And Strange Things Spotted On Public Transport (40 Pics)
This page is the best-kept secret of the entire 'Humans of' series. Heck, maybe of the entire internet. Humans of Trolleybuses (Humans of Trūlai) offers a glimpse into the funny side of Lithuanian public transport, and it's really colorful, too. Extravagant clothing, questionable luggage, funny situations, they feature it all.
The creator of the page, Rokas Stasevičius, said he started it after one memorable encounter. Rokas was taking a trolleybus when one of the passengers, a drunk, was smoking inside of it, singing chanson songs and, after being kicked out of the vehicle, waved Rokas goodbye with a smile on his face. This pretty much sums up what content to expect from Humans of Trolleybuses. If you're still not convinced that it's bizarre in the funniest way possible - check the interesting photos below.

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.”
For the most part, Humans of Trolleybuses relies on its community. "At the height of the page's popularity, it was receiving about 15-20 funny photos per day," Rokas told Bored Panda. "To decide if a particular picture is worth a post, I'm trying to figure out whether it would enrich social media or trash it. At first, I consider the originality of the photo/video. It can't be a repost or something lame in general as the idea behind the project is to create unique, independent content that isn't toadying to anything or anyone."
"Ideally, the photo/video makes up for about half of the entire gag. The other half is the caption, so, the more interesting and abstract the image or recording is, the more freedom there is to create a captivating caption."
"The best captions usually come spontaneously, during the first viewing of the submitted material," Rokas added. "If you're overthinking it, it might end up too complex, forced, and only you and a couple more people can understand it. I don't have one rule on how to craft the perfect caption, I just try to feel it out, make it something that compliments the picture/video without overpowering it."
Today is also a tougher period for Humans of Trolleybuses. Rokas attributes the lower number of submissions and posts to the transition the page is making from Facebook to Instagram. "I believe that it's only a matter of time before the project becomes what it recently was."
He thinks that many people are drawn to Humans of Trolleybuses probably because they relate to the trolleybuses themselves. "It doesn't matter how uncomfortable or slow this mode of public transportation is. People sympathize with tit and people need quality content which can also be funny."
Remember stuart little? this is him now. feel old yet?
When she used to call me on my cellphone
Oh, I actually remember these. I saw these accessories in the markets a lot, but never saw anyone using them.
It's a lot easier for some people to hold/use. I purchased my grandma one of these.
Load More Replies...I work from home and am on the phone A LOT. I have one because I can look at my cell while I'm talking on it without having to use speakerphone, and because it's much easier to prop an old fashioned phone between your ear and shoulder while you type than a cell. That said, I would not bring it out in public!
When you miss the landline phones but want the conversation of a cell phone
I have one because the speaker on my phone is broken, and it was a lot cheaper than a new phone! Love it.
I want one! I’m going deaf, a proper receiver would really help me out.
I was wondering about this today. You can lean your head down on the receiver when you talk. But then, that's what those ear plug things are for, right? Blue tooth air talker ear things.
I would totally get one of these if I had a cellphone. I got rid of mine because it wasn't contributing anything. I might get one of those Jitterbug senior phones.
To be fair, there's no thief thinking "I'm going to rip that spray bottle out of his hands."
Meanwhile in Klaipėda
>you’re not hungry
>this baba asks you if you’re hungry
>what do you do?
I can't tell if he didn't notice his shirt was see through in a different lighting, or if he was doing this on purpose. If it is on purpose, I don't know anyone who can pull off this look.
If it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid

I have a problem with the growing trend of taking someone's photo without their permission and posting it online. It's creepy, invasive and rude.
as a former cosplayer, I can say that people like the plague doctor and the cultist are perfectly cool with it. and usually when you have an interesting animal to take around like a rat or a crow, you are also cool with the attention. and the chick with the cat is obviously fine with it or she would have stopped them, I mean shes facing them and is clearly privvy to it. the one where its just a coincidence that three women are wearing the same clothes on a bus, maybe you have a point, but not likely. most people dont give a f**k.
Load More Replies...There are some curious and some funny pictures, but quite a few are really just shaming people. Bored Panda has tons of posts against shaming fat people, against shaming disabled people, against shaming poor people...but shaming people with odd looks on busses is all right...
I don't know man, half of those are just making fun of poor or quirky peoples. Dont find that funny tbh
define making fun of. to me, its taking an interest in. and those people are often happy to have interest taken in them, especially when its their pet or their clothing that makes them interesting.

Yup, it makes me sick. Can we please shame the people discreetly taking photos of random people because theres something slightly off about them or whatever so that the world can laugh at them.
Load More Replies...When are we going to start to admit that most of these posts are no longer community-submitted. The employees of the site are cobbling together images/things that are 'similar' into these collections and claiming someone else took them/gathered them as a project. A few of these images are from actual projects (like the woman matching the seats) and more than a few of these have shown up in other posts with different, unrelated names for a while now (such as 'Cats in Public' or similar names). Go look at the posts, almost none of them are user-submitted anymore and almost all of them are from the same people who tout themselves as employees. Been following for years, but have only started to see this pattern happening in the past year.
Never heard the term Trolleybuses before. In Australia we call them trams. EDIT: Omg what is wrong with me tonight. I am not being very observant.
These don’t run on tracks they are buses that run off electricity when they are on the line and engines when they off. They were popular in the Soviet times
Load More Replies...Many of these weren`t even taken on the trolleybus, but rather on the subway, buses or trams. Moreover, I think many of these photos weren`t even taken in Lithuania, as the author states.
My daughter started taking public transportation to go to school this year. She got off the bus one day and said it saw someone drinking vodka! Right from the bottle!' Oh sweetie, that's the tamest thing you're going to see on buses!
How do I add one to this list! There's a guy who gets my bus who has an electric mobility scooter with a hen and 4 chicks who sit on his head - I have to share!!
I'm disappointed my favorite one didn't make it on there. This man is on a bus with a 30 gallon tub of Cinnabon icing with a look of pure satisfaction on his face. I want to know how he got it on the bus, how he got it or why. Most importantly, I want to know if he's willing to share it. \ man-on-bus...e981c6.jpg
Can you please obscure the faces of people you're photographing without consent? They willingly consent to being in public and on CCTV (which isn't generally plastered all over the internet), so please have some f*****g respect if you're going to put people online without them knowing.
