35 Of The Most Ironic Pics From ‘Humans Of Capitalism’ To Make You Laugh Cry (New Pics)
Interview With ExpertCapitalism is considered by many to be the most efficient and productive economic system. But whether it truly is or isn’t, there’s no denying it’s far from perfect. In fact, its role in creating inequality, driving overconsumption, and harming the environment raises the question: is it really worth all the damage it inflicts?
One place on the internet where this conversation is happening is the Instagram page Humans of Capitalism. It shares photos that humorously expose just how absurd—and even dystopian—our society has become. Scroll down to see some of their most recent posts and let us know what you think!

The core motive of capitalism is to generate profit. This pursuit, of course, has brought us many of the comforts and products we enjoy today. However, it often comes at a real cost—by prioritizing wealth above all else, it has stripped away much of our humanity in the process.
“Within capitalism, who we are is reduced to what we do for money,” the creator of the personal finance Instagram page Rise and Shine Money told Bored Panda.
“We all know ‘What do you do?’ refers to our paid role in society and doesn’t value our other interests, skills, and offerings,” she said. “This is a huge loss when we put all the emphasis on how we create capital versus the fullness of our beings. There are many contributions to society that get undervalued here, such as parenting, volunteering, being a grandparent, or organizing within the community.”
The demanding schedules that capitalism requires, Rise and Shine Money argues, leave us burnt out, depleted, in poor health, and emotionally dysregulated. As a result, we often lack the energy or time to explore our creativity, enjoy hobbies, or connect with our communities.
“We end up bedrotting and doomscrolling instead of enjoying our beautiful world or engaging in activities that are fundamental to being human,” she said. “We have to outsource so much—food delivery, dog walking, housecleaning, childminding—because our jobs and commutes take up our best waking hours. We might even have to pay someone else to care for our child because we can’t afford to be out of the workforce for that long.”

Load More Replies...Seen this one before. So someone is choking and your first instinct is to look for a YouTube video... Too bad you don't have a device capable of calling 911...
No the first instinct is to Google it. Google then serves up 3 sponsored ads for cough medicine and the rest of the page is YouTube videos.
Load More Replies...Hey google, you make countless billions every year by selling the private data of all your users....largely without their understanding or consent! I will never, ever, ever pay for youtube premium, and as manifest V3 renders ublock unusable on chrome, a whole bunch of people (myself included) will switch to using Vivaldi, Edge or Firefox exclusively!
privacy badger is a good add on for firefox too
Load More Replies...This is what BP is going through now. They're going to be as clueless as YouTube in another 6 months to a year. And most of us here reading will be gone, gone, gone.
They're either going to have to shutter, or backtrack. Though i do find it hilarious that they think putting dark mode behind a paywall is going to entice anyone into paying for curated and sanitized reddit. If you have a chromium based browser, //flags search dark mode and wouldn't ya know it? You can force dark mode with the click of a button.

I got a question: what are all these youtube ads people are talking about? I don't see any, except for plugs on videos for their patreon account, or for their sponsor. I'm running Linux mint 21.3, Firefox ESL, with UBlock Origin and NoScript, but most scripts are allowed. I have DuckDuckGo Privacy essentials, cookie autodelete, canvas blocker, and a few others. QAnyway, i have yet to see a popup ad on YouTube.
It's a bot, not AI. And yes, we all know that. Incidentally, you managed to get both a spelling mistake and a superfluous apostrophe in a 5-word reply accusing strangers on the internet of being stupid. Well done!

WTF. This guys a drag queen!! A crossdresser!!! And Disney supports this kinda stuff in their parks? Near CHILDREN???!!!! Somebody call Ron DeSantis -- he'll end this woke BS real quick. /s/
Without framing it this way, it can be hard to recognize that many of the conveniences we rely on exist precisely because of the problems rooted in capitalism. But once you start noticing, it’s difficult to unsee—and disheartening to realize how deeply it influences nearly every aspect of our lives.
“Capitalism is a system that relies on exploitation in order to function, whether that’s the exploitation of people or the environment,” radical business consultant and social justice educator Bear Hebert explained in a conversation with Bored Panda.
As a small country at the bottom of the world NZ needs tourism to support the economy. Annoying as the slow camper-vans can be I say welcome... (Please stay on the left!!)

"Couple supports the French economy with 12 million dollars per day"
Hey I would much rather do that than actually go up in a hot air balloon.
It is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism...
Communist architecture crushing the proletariat? What the fvck am I looking at here?
This doesn't seem too terrible, if you're a people-person. (It looks like a massive anxiety-inducing crowd to me, but I don't think that's why this was posted here.) We have indoor pools and they're good for when the weather is bad or you just don't have a beach in your city. This is just a gussied-up indoor pool made to model an experience that people enjoy, but can't always access.
For all we know, she might be out there thanking him for doing the job and asking if he wants a glass of water.
BP: "Capitalism bad". Also BP: "We're now putting some of our basic features behind a paywall." The sad part, BP's "journalists" aren't smart enough to see their own hypocrisy

? 🤔 Title:"Photos That Capture The Materialistic Madness Of Our World (New Pics)" To me is just seemed like random images. Many weren't related to materialism but other (negative) things.
BP does a terrible job finding relevant photos, whatever the topic.

Some socialist they are, eh?
