Whether it’s a light snack or a hearty meal, toast is just one of those wholesome foods that we keep on coming back to. Smeared in butter or topped with a multitude of delights, it’s an easy win when we need something tasty to fill us up.

But, what do people eat toast with?

It seems we all do it differently, with many regions of the world having their very own favorites. From baked beans on toast in the UK to molletes in Mexico – there’s a universal love when it comes to toast-based comfort food.

With that in mind, we’re going to take a trip around the globe via the medium of toast… because why not?! There are so many delicious ways to eat toast. Some are savory, some are sweet, and some are a mixture of the two, all we know is that if you’re anything like us, you’ll probably have a serious craving for toast by the time you’ve finished!

While we know this list is certainly not exhaustive, these tasty favorites definitely get our vote. So, let’s dig in and… bon appetit!

My name is Violeta and I am an editor here at Bored Panda. I love reading memes for a living. It’s obviously much more than that, but I appreciate the variety of topics, information, and pics I get to see every day and share with the world! Those funny memes really make my day too. Being born in the ’90s in post-Soviet Lithuania speaks more about me than I’d like to admit. I’m still learning about the world and myself, but I do love my friends, traveling, art, and my cat. My favorite fact to share about myself is that I used to hide meatballs in my friend’s pockets at lunch so I could go play outside. I wish all those meatballs could find their way back to me someday.
