Load More Replies...These are all good ideas. But now they are out there, in the internet for everyone, including the thieves to see
My thoughts exactly. Well, they might be not good to hide from thieves anymore, but you can still use them to hide stuff from... Your siblings, for example, or your kids.
Load More Replies...So you've essentially told potential burglars where they should look for things to steal. Good work
I think you need a coauthor for that project. I volunteer.
Load More Replies...I don't understand a point of hiding couple bucks in a keyboard or similar, you will forget that it exists and throw it away on the end.
At first, I agreed with everyone saying that now burglars know where to look. When you actually think about it though a burglar is trying to be in and out relatively quickly so it's not going to check everywhere or everything. It would take hours to check every table, drawer, and other miscellaneous objects on this list.
Why do we need to hide small amounts of cash in our homes? Other than snacks I can't see the point? Important papers belong out of the home or saved digitally, right?
And then you forget where you put that thing that you hid so well.... Oops! Anyway, burglars or not, some of these are nice space saving ideas.
I'm forever putting things "in a safe place" only to not be able to find them later.
Load More Replies...Some are clever but most are things that could easily be thrown or given away. Happens all the time. And they're probably not breaking news to thieves, either.
I want a house just full of these! Haha imagine the hide and seek games we'll have...
The one thing I'm not seeing are hiding places that are fire and water proof. If you're going to do something like this, get a fireproof/resistant bag to put the stuff in first.
I don't much care for hiding things, but #s 8 and 10 are great ideas for finding storage in otherwise wasted space!
I think these are Great ideas. When someone is breaking into your home they go for easy stuff because the don' t have a lot of time. Thieves are Not going to remember or think of All these places. Thank you for telling me about these ideas. I will be using them.
Who are these people going to great lengths to hide a few bucks..... It sounds like a mental health time bomb waiting to go off.
WHY are you hiding money inside your home? Don´t you have banks? And why are you not taking keys and credit cards with you when you leave your house?
Most of these seem like ideas for a captive, abused spouse or child.
one thing is that when you hide something you forget it, tats for it is good that is done for safety. worst you move and you have forget your hide there. Dont ever hide nothing to fireplace or oven, both are put on so that you dont really look what is in there, easy to forget.
Most of these are pretty good, and like it's been said, thieves are unlikely to go searching through every possible place listed here, presuming they ever actually saw this article. But with the bookcase one, the shelves are thicker than the sides - that to me would be a giveaway. You'd need to have the sides made of thicker wood to make the thick wood look like a design feature...
This is why the FEDS and the DEA agents destroy a house during a raid you might hide it from a few thieves but not from the government. They wil find your stuff.
This is why they destroy your house during a drug bust. You might hide from a few thieves but not from the Feds they know all the hiding tricks.

I need some advice.. I'm 17 and pregnant-due on January 1st. I'm going to keep my baby girl, as I think that's the best thing to do. I know a lot of people will be reading this and will be disappointed in me. Before you judge me, know that this is because of rape. I need names for my baby girl, and advice for being a teen mom.
it has been two years... i hope that you are happy with her :)
Load More Replies...Some of those are not only safe spots to hide valuables, but also great space-saving ideas, like the stairs ones or the bookshelves - you can keep important papers there, receipts etc. Very handy.
Oh my gosh, this is the most idiotic thing ever. So, everyone is just flaunting where they hide their things from thieves?? Wouldn't you want to keep it a secret? Nice hiding spots not gonna lie.

THIS is the dumbest thing EVER...because, THEY ARENT A SECRET ANYMORE!!!
You really think a thief is going to read this and then go into a home spend the time to search any/all of these bizarre hiding places to find a tidbit of cash instead of just taking a tv? That's not likely so your comment isn't so smart itself.
Load More Replies...Um...this is the dumbest thing I have EVER seen! Because...THEY ARENT SECRET ANYMORE!!!
