I make sure to have alone time to appreciate the things around me and try to reflect on my actions and feelings
Think of one thing. Maybe something I’m grateful for, something that made me laugh, something good I did at work. That’s my bare minimum, but I try to get that one small practice in every day.
I meditate regularly; it has helped me stay grounded and also gives me a few minutes of quiet. I also remind myself that I can only do one thing at a time; if I try to do too much, I get burnt out and I’m not effectively taking care of myself. If I can’t take care of myself, I can’t take care of others.
