The Dark Past Of This Abandoned House Made Me Visit And Photograph It (15 Pics)
In Belgium, not too long ago, an elderly man was eaten by his pet dog after he died in his home. He lived alone in his home with his pet after his wife passed years before. After not hearing from him for weeks, his neighbors checked on him to make the gruesome discovery.
I have visited the property where this story took place. Take a peek inside his home as it sits today. You can see remnants of his pet all over, as well as books as he was an avid reader.
If you would like to see more abandoned places I visited, check out my other Bored Panda posts here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

Share on FacebookI've seen this sort of thing before watching urbex videos and I'm always amazed when I see those ladder type stairways. The fact that elderly folks traversed those when I find typical stairs challenging. Looking at old photos is fascinating as well, imagining the stories behind them... The overall story is tragic, but to look into the person's life, while feeling kinda voyeuristic is fascinating as well. If anyone does the same when I've died will be incredibly bored, lol.
Why do these abandoned house somehow have less dust than the house I live in and clean daily? And spiderwebs, I'm forever cleaning spiderwebs yet not seeing any in this house, did you give it a clean before taking pics?
Maybe because house dust is mainly dead skin cells. No humans, not much dust.
Load More Replies...If I die before Bouche, she's more than welcome to eat me. I'd at least be a change from kibble.
So weird that it's so intact and the people are just gone. I wonder what happened.
Taxes. Children didn't want it. Outdated utilities. k**b and tube wiring, lead water pipes. haunted by dogs
