LEGO Creators Show Off Their Most Interesting Builds, Here Are The 50 Coolest Ones
While most of us don’t want to work in construction, most humans do have an almost innate desire to build something every now and then. We’ve gathered some of the coolest and most creative builds from an online group dedicated to everything LEGO. So get comfortable as you scroll through, upvote your favorites and share your thoughts in the comments below.

I Was Asked To Make A LEGO Model Of My Local Pub!
“Creating LEGO sets” is one of those jobs like astronaut or candy-taster that many kids would like to do at some point in their lives. To be clear, all of these are very real jobs, just by no means common enough for every other second grader to become one at some point. However, if you still harbor dreams of creating your own LEGO set, you might be in luck.
Since 2008, LEGO has had a program titled “LEGO Ideas” where netizens can pitch sets, which, if they get enough votes, end up being made into real sets, with the idea creator getting a 1% royalty.

Now, don’t necessarily get your hopes up, since 2008 (a whole 17 years ago) only 56 sets in total have been picked. It has to get 10000 votes in two years, minimum, as well as a few other conditions, including 100 votes in the first sixty days. Even if it qualifies, it still might not be enough, as some sets have been rejected for copyright or just needing molds that would be too costly to make.

Indeed, there have been entire years where no projects end up being selected. Creativity isn’t enough, after all, LEGO has a lot of creative people already working there. It has to be something LEGO can actually sell (no intellectual property issues), produce (no massively custom molds and new technology and still has to garner enough user support.

If you’ve noticed that many of these come from 2020 or early 2021, you would be correct to assume that lockdowns did spur an increase in interest about LEGO. After all, if you’re stuck at home, buy and building LEGO, or just tinkering with the pieces you have was just one of many ways people did their best to stay entertained.

This doesn’t actually mean this was enough for them to all get put into production and LEGO itself updated the requirements, noting the massive increase in interest following lockdown.

I'm a professional Lego builder, and did not expect to see something like this on Bored Panda but am quite happy that there is!
I once built the largest Lego set with instructions ever. It's my profile picture.
I am just so blown away by all the talent and dedication to make these beautiful dioramas and figural art designs. Many kudos to the creators of original pieces and the augmented Lego designs.
And here I am, just impressing my kids with making houses with several rooms and floors out of LEGO. Both the normal ones and DUPLO. Lol
Which reminds me: I want a LEGO masters where they have to build things with LEGO DUPLO.
Load More Replies...I had a roommate build a tower in the living room. Every day he would buy more and when it reached the ceiling he made it wider. He went kinda crazy and abruptly moved to Florida.
Did he take the Legos, or leave them for you? I hope he left them.
Load More Replies...I used to, but had to stop the habit as it's not really appropriate in a childcare setting!
Load More Replies...This was just wonderful. I had no idea so much talent and beauty could come from Legos!
I am working at a school holiday program at the moment. Today we had a Lego incursion from a company called Bricks for Kids. No one made anything this impressive, but it was the first time most of them had used Technic pieces and they loved making things that could move! The builds were all funfair themed, like merry-go-rounds and other rides tat used motors. It definitely inspired some to try things with a STEM focus.
OMG, where is Alice Finch's fig-scale Hogwarts Castle?? Some of these are just sets you can buy. I am aghast.
If you're into brick buiding and broke, I recommend you to look for generic brands. I stacked my game up by Q-Bricks and they combine with original Lego flawlessly. If you like to build big structures like I do, you need a looot of basic bricks which you can get in bulk and a lot cheaper than the original ones.
