With all those windows it must be nice and light inside. (That was me trying to be a positive person.) Yuck! What were they thinking? (That was me being honest.)

Load More Replies...Reminds me of my old next door neighbours, but theirs was two different types/colours of bricks. Similar shape to this but much bigger. Planning permit said there would be minimal windows looking into our yard, which I guess was true, if you discounted the fully glass two storey wall!
It's three houses. One with orange accent walls, one with yellow, and one we can't see.

Who the heck did this post? 90% of this houses are perfectly fine. Or the photos just show the back of it. Maybe it's because I am spanish, but I would even buy some of them.
I'm not Spanish but I'm with you, as long as it's safe, who cares it's not front cover of Architects Monthly? Very unnecessarily judgmental list!
Load More Replies...I really don't see the issue with half of these. Normal rural houses or weekend cottages. But l'm Spanish, so 🤷🏻♀️.
I am not Spanish and see no issue with the majority of this list. A house doesn't need to be a glass box (windows on every available wall), especially in warm places. (Or cold). Also, some are just built or expanded within limits: be it streets, covered old houses with added dakramen/dakkapel (the extruded windows on a sloping roof) so you can stand up straight and have some light in the attic.
Load More Replies...I assume the OP must be a USA suburbs denizen, used to seeing prefabricated paper boxes that look exactly the same, so anything out of the ordinary they deem as strange. Most of Europe has homes like this, literally nothing odd about it.
Some of these houses are being shamed because they look like they didn't have formal architects and contractors, they were probably hand-built by several generations of owners. Not everyone has the ability or desire to invest tons of money into their house.
Some of these look like office buildings, others look like warehouses, others look unfinished (which admittedly makes them look weird but not ugly, just unfinished) and the ones finished are actually nice. There's one that looks top-heavy that looks like a traditional Galician house that tend to be top heavy cause they have ovens and heating in the ground floor and living areas on top, so the heat goes up and keeps the living areas warm.
There is no issues with Spanish buildings, but sometimes they look like Howl's moving castle. Posts about architecture are one of my favourites here!
