In 2013, I started a task to draw something new and original everyday for a year. I posted my drawings on a Facebook group I called 365 cartoon. The challenge I gave myself was each and every day I needed to create at least one drawing before going to sleep. The format, style, level of difficulty, and subject matter, changed each day. In December, I had the idea to make an advent drawing adding something new to the drawing each day until the final day would be full of beautiful drawings done that month. I searched online for any and all things to do with winter or any strange holiday customs around the world. I made a giant list of things to draw and each day I would pick something off the list and draw it. By the end of the month I created a mixture of different customs and holiday icons to make something interesting and fun.
