I used to do stand up but now I live in Montana and there isn’t much opportunity to tell jokes these days," Tim Lavoie told Bored Panda when asked how did he get into creating comics. "So this has been a fun way to continue writing jokes. I have been making comics for 9 months," he added.
"I’m a pretty bad artist so I just wanted something that was effective enough to get jokes across without taking up a bunch of time," Tim shared with Bored Panda.
"I try to write jokes about as many topics as possible," the artist shared with us. "I want to prove to writers rooms out there that I can write any jokes they need so they’ll hire me. To come up with ideas I force myself to daydream a lot."
Bored Panda asked what is the most enjoyable part of the process of creating comics, to which the artist responded: "It’s fun to have some obscure idea in your head and then a few hours later it’s finished and looks somewhat close to what you were thinking about."
"My family doesn’t approve of the stuff I make so I kinda turn towards my followers to fill that role," Tim explained to Bored Panda. "They are very nice to me and make me feel supported." So here's a friendly reminder to follow Elder Cactus on Instagram!
"I have a method that makes ideas come pretty naturally," talking about his creative process, the artist told Bored Panda. "But for every 1 good comic idea I make I’ve thrown away probably 9 really bad comic ideas. So while I have a lot of ideas it’s a lot of sifting through garbage."
Tony Lazuto is my man. In light of all the c**p going on a good old fashioned mob boss and his hit man is kinda reassuring.
Said it before, but seriously... "Tony Lazuto Says Hello" needs to be it's own comic strip. Especially the Good Samaritan ones. "Tony Lazuto says hello" could become idiomatic for getting screwed while trying to do the right thing. Brilliant.
These are twisted and funny...oh, and by the way...Tony Lazuto says hi...
We need a TV show called "Tony Lazuto Says Hello" featuring Tony L and his life.
