People talk a lot of smack on the internet, and when that happens on social media, then the rest of the world can be fortunate enough to be there to see the glory unfold. From devastating clapbacks to good-natured puns and every other type of delightfully witty reply, a Twitter account called Gems Of Replies is there to document it all - for our benefit.
You know that sensation so many of us get hours after a conversation or argument when we realize - “damn, I should’ve said [X] instead…”? Scrolling through this account is basically the opposite of that as you get to see every moment of glory where someone said exactly what needed to be said.

Aww, it's like a family cremation (please don't come after me, I just have a dark sense of humour - I don't even eat meat)
This never ceases to crack me up. Perfect example of how to screw yourself in 1.5 seconds. Lmao
My life was going pretty well. But then suddenly I got pushed through a tiny cave. It was cold and bright on the other side. That's the day all my problems started
My birthday is next week!! ☺ Also, I celebrate my birthdays every couple of years, maybe this is why I don't look my age? 🤔😅
i find it weird that on one specific day you turn one year older than you were. you are NEVER the same age for a year. strange.
I have my 5 closest friends, 3 of them from childhood. I have a rather large family split between Utrecht, San Francisco & Hawai’i. I have my tribe of social friends across the globe. While I have a great time with each of them, it’s often because of a sense of obligation. Birthdays, milestones, etc. What I don’t often get enough of is time to myself to do whatever I want without answering to anyone. The opportunity to be completely alone to read & write and do whatever I want is a gift. The greatest personal gift I can ask for. I’ll gladly celebrate my birthday with/for my loved ones. Maybe the weekend before or after. Just gift me this one day a year where I have to be accountable to no one on any level and let me be alone in peace. I love my own company and that’s all I ever ask for, for my birthday.
As long as everyone knows this is what you want to do for your birthday and why, there should be no problem. It’s people that don’t say (introverts trying to be polite but ending up mad) or their families/friends not being respectful of what the birthday person have said that are the problem.
Load More Replies...I love birthdays. The only thing is it shouldn't be mine. My birthday is the day I regret my existence the most!
On your behalf, I love your birthday as it's the opposite of a regret to me and many others. 🫶
Load More Replies...A birthday is a special celebration. With it, you can show the middle finger to life and your enemies. Screw you, I'm still alive.
Use your words please i cant understand random letters
Load More Replies...My dad doesn't like to celebrate his birthday because he lost his twin when I was little. He always says "it doesn't feel the same when the person who came into the world with you and grew up with you is gone."
I'm a woman, and I am perfectly happy with doing nothing for my birthday. A good book, perhaps binging a good show, hanging with my dog...a perfect birthday.
This is a fair point. I’m going to stop celebrating my birthday and start celebrating the day I die. Lol.
When someone tells me that life begins at conception, I ask them if they celebrate the day they were conceived.
I don't find birthdays exciting, haven't done so since 18, which was the last fun milestone as everything became legal.
Not ok, but no one often gives enough of a f**k to celebrate it with you.
And healthy men don’t pit women against each other in a Madonna/whore comparison
I'm a teenager (not letting my real age online) and I can't see a point in making it to my 20s
I think it depends on the context. My native language is almost dead because people gave English too much priority. Now only villagers and old, established families can speak purely in our language, everyone else tries to talk in as much English as possible.
I always invite him to my house if my wifi is down! My right hand man
Half of these images are just stuff about india, pakistan and bollywood,Thats why many people are confused.
Better than it being pure USA. If we get exposed to enough Bollywood we'll eventually start understanding the jokes!
Load More Replies...Oh these where such good roasts and more good content more like this please bp
Hey, people are sick of all the USA-centred posts. There's a whole wide world out there, ya know? Other regions have the right to representation.
