Teacher Keeps Insulting Her Students For 10 Years, So This Student Destroys Her Career
Nothing makes high school more of a miserable experience than a terrible teacher. We all had that one class that we dreaded walking into because we knew they’d be there. This former student was berated and bullied by his algebra teacher throughout his senior year, but decided to put an end to it, and is now sharing his incredible story of revenge almost 16 years later.
The Reddit user (Johnny_Provolone) who posted the cautionary tale was only 18 when it all happened, and went on to graduate with the class of 2001. He is now 34 and is studying diesel mechanics. His post has gone viral on Reddit’s ProRevenge thread, garnering a whopping 26.8 thousand upvotes.
Read the entire story to the end below, and share your own revenge experience in the comments.

One little boy wanted to go to the bathroom but she did not let him. Later we found out that he went home with wet pants in the dead of winter...this was second grade!!! I was really scarred of her. I begged my mom not to make me go to school one day so she went to the principle. The principle called the teacher down to here office and as the story goes I hid behind the principles skirt. She wasn't there the next year but the damage was done to us kids. If teachers are hateful they need to resign because they hate their jobs.
My grandma had a similar experience, but she peed on the floor. The janitor yelled at the teacher when he came and cleaned the mess. I wouldn't have the nerve in grade school, but in HS if I was denied permission I would just stand up and leave the room.

It's not "revenge" for the teacher to be fired and blackballed from the profession. She never should have been within hailing distance of any student, anywhere, ever. I've run into teachers like her before, both as a student and as a teacher. What they do is child abuse and it can have lifelong effects.

I left school after defending a student a teacher was doing this kind of thing to, and gave up on high school and later got a GED instead because unlike you it was only the words of students to the administrator against a teacher. My life might have been different if we did what you did. Thank you for being brave and standing up.
I never understood teachers who don't want to teach. You can get better paying jobs doing something you don't want to do and most of those don't require you to deal with children or teenagers.
You're right. I might be able to get my head around it if the job paid well, but teacher's pay sucks. Then again, with her attitude, I'm guessing that teaching would be hitting the jackpot for her.
Load More Replies...I did something similar to my English teacher in school. She had the wonderful habit of acting like a b***h (same as the one above) but not because the students didn't know the answer, but because some students knew more English than she did (I'm not s******g you) and refused to go at her for tutoring (which included being told all the test subjects and answers). one day i got so fed up with getting another C that i went home, told my folks and asked them to call the educational inspector (we were acquaintances) to drop by for a visit and test all of her students. Of course, when my folks went to the principal and let her know of their plans, suddenly all the school was in an uproar. They all knew that the straight A's at her subject couldn't even pass the easiest test and had those grades because they went at her for tutoring (paid ofc). 10 minutes later, she was crying, my grades reflected my knowledge and the principal was panicked as f**k and apologising. That is called justice.
When I was in Grade 6, I was reading at a 2nd year university level. It's just a thing. We were allowed to bring our own books to free reading periods, so I brought the latest trashy novel was reading...and the teacher went ballistic and took my book away. It was "Return of the King", and I was 2/3 finished it. She said I "couldn't possibly understand it." The teacher called my mother who said nothing and then asked how far along in the book I was and then pointed out that if I didn't understand it, I would have stopped in the first book. Bravo Mom, but it made me a target for the rest of the school year.

After being treated badly by a few teachers I pretty much gave up. It would never have occurred to me to go to my parents. Consequently I never raised my hand and had no mentor type teacher in school. It was only when I saw my own sons being bullied by teachers that I got pissed and stood up for them. I now tell new parents when their kids start school to believe in their kids not the teachers who are after all human and can be just as awful as everyone else.
I once had a teacher who put my desk in the coat closet. My offense was being flaky about getting my homework turned it. Before she put my desk in the closet, she had a habit of saying nasty things about me in front of the class. I was only in third grade and really didn't think to do anything about it, but now I feel kind of guilty for not having done something about it. Think of all the kids that woman screwed up. It turns my stomach.
Either way she should be bothered. You don't do that to a child, teenager, or adult. You just don't. I'm sorry you had to go thru that. Hope karma bites her in the a*s.

God has nothing to do with him making it. He made it through because he took action and the authorities did their job appropriately.

First few seconds were fine, then the sound came out of the laptop. Found the audio cable within a second, and plugged it in, it worked fine. Until the teacher forcefully stopped the presentation. Right after I plugged it in. "WHY IS THE SOUND COMING OUT OF YOUR LAPTOP?" Apparently she 'told' us it HAD to be on a USB. Then she just kept on going about us not listening to her and loudly roasted us. Kept asking me why it wasn't on a USB, kept repeating the question. I was so shocked I couldn't answer and she just kept on repeating it. I told her the audio was fine now, so we could keep going. She didn't listen. Oh the irony. Kept on going on and on, wasting time. But the thing was, she never said it had to be on a USB. We got it working but apparently we're gonna get a low mark on our technology because we didn't put it on a USB.
And afterwards she sat back down and said under her breath, 'hopeless' . We heard the next lesson from the same teacher talking about how her other class had an audio problem, but she was fine with it, even proud that they fixed it. But because our one wasn't on USB, she raged. Despite not specifying it had to be on USB.

I suffer from a rare genetic muscular disease that causes me to have very little bulk muscle. As a result, I can't run, jump, lift heavy things, and I'm very thin. Diagnosis was, I was never supposed to be able to walk. Anywho, in the 5th grade I had a teacher that would terrorize me. During lunch, she'd throw my food into the garbage, and one time during this thing called the May Pole Dance (where every student grabs a ribbon tied to a tall pole and circle around it), because I was slower than the other students, this teacher grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me across the floor in circles to keep up. Needless to say...It made me cry. I was called "the crippled kid" over the intercom on a school bus one time, because it took me a second to get across the ice and into the bus. So many more stories like this over the years. Luckily I developed thick skin as I got older, but man -- 'twas rough.
I didn't want to like this, but some people should really not be teachers. Appreciated the longer story at the end to explain some of the more complicated parts of the situation.
... the teacher's stupid answers, obviously.

I have this teacher who humiliate and made my classmate cry in front of the class because my classmate has been absent for many weeks. My classmate told my teacher that the reason is personal and she can't tell it in front of everyone. But my teacher kept on insisting her tell it, my classmate feels so embarrassed and scared she cried in front of everyone but my teacher just stood there doing nothing, and it's really quiet in the classroom all I heard was her cry. Somebody in the classroom stood up and let my crying classmate sat down. The teacher asked who allowed her to sat down but the person didn't spoke. My teacher told them to go to counseling office. But when they're already outside the teacher told unnecessary thins. Telling that she thought that my classmate is doing drugs and she f*****g laughed and she expect us too laugh too like wtf. And she also said that the person who let my classmate sat down was being heroic. Ughhh can't stand her anymore
as a teacher of music, I always say "the only stupid question, is the one you dont ask!" every question from a student is important!
Good on him, a couple of teachers made my schooldays miserable. There was no reason except I was shy and like most bullies they picked that up.
As a teacher who is a motivator I'm happy to say the student should have reported her sooner.I remember a teacher who called our class ..........You're all a bunch of SPINELESS JELLYFISH.........My classmates from 50 years ago still recall this insult.
I had a couple of teachers who disliked me, but they kept themselves under control. I was not a star pupil, so maybe I deserved to be targeted occasionally.
No you didn't. No one deserves to be treated so cruelly. Whether good student or not so good.
Load More Replies...Reminds me of that one time when I, a calm, shy and silent student staying out of trouble, actually got an official disciplinary remark within my high school record because I told my teacher he doesn't need to make a fool of himself, when he tried to be funny by interrupting (not even letting me start) my answer to his own question. He was more subtle, but he clearly disliked me, and one day insulted me even. He was the type of person to expect a teenager to be more mature than himself. Hmmmh.... Should I feel honoured? Anyway, my "revenge" was becomming kinda successful in my plans for the future, graduating with the highest grade, studying and working abroad, again, with high grades, and earning more money than he ever will. But I am sorry I couldn't do anything to help other kids who, like me, were the "lucky ones" under his pick.
What I wish now is not a past situation where he'd lose his job (to be honest, I feel more pity than anger for him, because I see his complexes now), what I wish is just a past where somebody told him something strong that would make him turn around. Well, maybe it did happen, since he didn't mistreat me that much anymore as his job with our class was comming to an end.
Load More Replies...I was prompted to drop out my second year of 9th grade when my US History teacher asked me, "Miss Ridgdill, when are you going to just drop out already?" I went shortly after and passed my GED without studying (which is the equivalent of a 12th grade education). At first, I deeply regretted not graduating, but as I grew up it became clear that I had already learned what was required to be a functioning adult (reading, writing, math) and the lack of 4 more years of useless schooling left me with the freedom to develop the skill sets I was interested in. So, in a way, I'd want to thank him for being such an unbearable a*****e. Without it, I would have wasted another 4 or more years of my life trying to graduate.
Revenge is a dish better served cold, Mrs. Frank deserved a very icy dish !!
Kudos young man I'm so proud of what you did to this miserable teacher!!
I was one of the brightest, if not the brightest, students in grammar school, Jr. Hi., and High school.Nevertheless, I managed to flunk Algebra in Jr. Hi. School.Somehow, that never bothered me, and I later managed to get to the Calculus level with no particular difficulty. Anyway, I now think that my failure in my first attempt at Algebra was due to the teacher. She made it impossible to ask any questions. I always feared her sarcasm and her cutting replies. It's funny, though. I had aways said that the best teachers were the strictest ones, ones that put up with no nonsense. Well, she was certainly one of those. It's just that she added MEAN to the package, and I've now adjusted my thinking. Strict may be best, but not if accompanied by nastiness.
You can be firm and retain control of the class and still be kind. My DIL is a teacher, several of my aunts were teachers.
Load More Replies...There was a teacher like that in my high school in Madison, WI. I wish we'd had the mini tape recorders then. She was awful, and was particularly awful to female students who might be a little slow to catch on. I only had her for homeroom, but my brother had her for geometry. Fortunately he was a good student, but he came home with stories that were hard for my parents to believe. I believed every one, because I knew how she behaved in homeroom. She picked out several boys the very first week of our sophomore year to pick on, and bullied them unmercifully for the next 3 years.. It was painful for the rest of us but nobody dared to do anything because then she would turn on them. I don't know how she got away with it for so many years.
Thank you so much for your story. You were very brave. I endured a horrible teacher during my 5th year. She was verbally and physically abu
There are some really bad, sadistic teachers out there and they get into the profession because they know they can treat kids horribly and get away with it. I'm glad that they are caught and fired. However, most teachers are not that way and I appreciate the work that the vast majority of them do.
My own story--in high school we had as band director whow as a great guy in most respects. He was a very good director, did not insult people or yell much, and chose excellent music, much of it classical (!--don't see that in high school much these days). BUT he drank, and I saw him a few times when i had a study-hall practice period in the band room. He had a flask he would nip from. He got worse and worse, and when i was a senior he came to our spring concert drunk. He was so obviously drunk that the word was passed that when we played "Bolero" we should just follow the drums because he was not with-it enough. We did OK but he was a mess. I stupidly wrote a letter to the editor in our school paper talking about some of these things. I think he was fired because he was very sad for the rest of the year. I felt terrible when i realized what I had done but it had become pretty obvious to everyone anyway.
That was my English teacher. I had her for both junior and senior year. My HS band teacher would scream at the top of his lungs at us. Then be all calm and directing like nothing happened. I remember thinking if your mad stay mad. He was so Jekyll/Hyde.

In our society we don't see what is right or wrong, the most importance is majority or minority. If the majority say it's wrong, then it's wrong. Teacher always right. Whistle blower always be the one who got all the hate. Really frustating. Moreover, you need to be A plus student if you want to be heard ( by the way I wasn't good student, you can judge from my poor english). Gave up my formal education in my last year at uni due to what so called similar condition. I hold my grudge to one of my prof. (Actualy she's just assistance of my main prof ), i had enough of her but i always be in the "wrong" side based on my society's standard. I can't even tell to my main prof. About what really happend. Because i know she will trust her assistance more. So i decided to leave.
That sounds terrible gah o.O Your English is understandable, don't worry too much about it, with time and practice it should improve :-)

I've had a teacher like this ... She used to tell me that I was fat and good- for- nothing ... But when she needed my help , she used to be damn sweet ... And so me and my friends complained on her and she left the school ... Or she was mostly kicked out of it I guess
And she also made me do her daughter's home work ... Poor me ... But I'm happy I won't see her ever again ...

I've never been able to think about it without a lump in my throat. Even now, with that old crone long dead in her grave, my eyes fill with tears.....and I'm 65 years old!
I had a teacher like this in high school and I was always afraid to direct attention toward myself because I knew she would just insult me. It's not fair to make your students feel uncomfortable. I'm glad she got fired if she was really that disrespectful. No one should have to deal with that.
Get rekt Mrs Frank. But I'm also really glad you were that type of person who can stand up to people. Some people could have stayed quiet and bullied and in worst cases get scarred form her words... Good Job man! ( ^ u ^ )
Serves her right. I take my hat off for great teachers. The art of passing on knowledge in a way that sticks with the student is a talent. I am confident in Algebra, that's my talent and passion. But I know I am unsuitable as a teacher because I lack the skills and patience. I myself had a brilliant Algebra teacher... but we all know our bad teachers. Mine was my first Dutch teacher (my native language) Who stated litterly "That boy will never learn it" My second teacher in highschool proved her wrong. I'll always be thankful for the patience and extra attention he gave me.
I'm a disabled midget, who can't walk. As such, going to the bathroom is... Difficult in public places, so I used diapers. It was easier to be changed, rather than having to be sat on the toilet (which was too wide to begin with) and my physical therapist, Mrs. Ida, decided it would be a grand idea to pull my pants down in the middle of class. Granted, I was in 4th grade, and still in those diapers. So naturally I was embarrassed. Needless to say I've resented her ever since
I'm so sorry that happened to you. I do not know how a person can do this to another. Where's the humanity?
Load More Replies...My middle school history teacher's method was to have us read the material, write notes on the blackboard while reading her notes aloud for 50 minutes, and require us to copy her notes into our notebooks. This was every day. If she did not like the way a student was paying attention or not sitting properly in his seat, she'd slap the kid upside the head (this was a long time ago).
He may have not excelled at math, neither did I for that matter, however, he shined at finding a solution to a very difficult problem. Bravo.
There was a teacher like this at my school. Always insulting to people, no one EVER got an A in any of his classes, and apparently he had his doctorate, because if anyone ever called him 'Mr. Teacher Name' he'd correct them with 'Doctor Teacher Name', yet for some reason he could only get a job teaching high school. No revenge story here sadly, they were only able to get rid of him after he apparently threw a chair at a student for some reason or another, and even then he just got pushed into early retirement with his pension and benefits intact as the school did not want to deal with a Teacher's Union lawsuit.
These people are the ones who give tenure a bad reputation. I had a middle school English teacher who was a narcissist just like that (no PhD, though). She made 9th grade English into some insane college program, probably because she aspired to greater things for herself but couldn't attain them.. I went to college after high school and it was far less trouble than 9th grade.

My algebra teacher told me to do math teachers a favor and get out of math. I went to college 9 years later, took Astronomy and nailed algebra. Got a B+.
Load More Replies...Once I was in class and this teacher started to explain some logical problem. I was the only one who couldn't understand. He kept asking me if I had finally gotten there, but nope, not a chance. He was very patient and I felt sorry for him because I didn't want him to waste his time trying to make me understand something. At some point, he gave up and asked for the solution. Everyone gave the same solution except for me, of course. It turned out that I was the only one right. I don't know how I knew the solution. Maybe my unconscious mind understood the question :D Anyway he was a great teacher.
But, she had to have been tenured. When they are tenured, they are nearly IMPOSSIBLE to fire. I know, most states that have problems like this cant fire them, but they cant let them teach school. So, they answer is, every day these unfit teachers go into a room and sit all day, doing whatever they want and they continue to be paid. Ive seen news stories on this VERY subject!
My choir teacher was pretty obvious about playing favorites. She always gave the same five or six kids solos, even though half of them could barely sing, and would also pick kids who weren't even in choir who asked for songs. I was a soprano one and, quite frankly, one of the best in the class, but I refused to kiss her a*s so she barely even acknowledged me unless it was to point out something I did wrong. (I'll admit I gave her lip sometimes, but only when I was speaking up for the other kids she basically blacklisted.) She even sabotaged me at one point, turning the backing music up so loud you couldn't hear a tank over it, let alone anyone trying out for a part. (And of course, all her favorites got it turned down so low you could barely hear it.) My last year of high school, and I finally got the chance to sign up for a class I'd wanted to take since kindergarten, and she made what should've been my favorite class ever into one that completely sucked a*s.
I've noticed that the emotional maturity of some grade school teachers is below the level of their students, despite the teachers being decades older...

I can't remember her name, but she always dressed like an Indian. Southwestern, like Navaho or whatever. Franklin HS in La, CA 10th grade maybe 1965.
Well played. You gave it back to her in a fabulous manner. Some "teachers" need to bully their students in order to look down at them. What an idiot, people like that shouldn't give lessons. It makes me sad, however, I worry a little about her right now... she got what she deserved, yet probably she has some serious issues that should somehow be... cured? (Of course, I guess what she did to her students for years is much worse.)
Serious issues might explain the teacher's behavior, but it does not justify or excuse it. Having empathy for the victimizer is noble, but don't go too far. People have a choice to not do to others what was done to them. When they choose to be nasty, they've made the wrong choice.

Even revenge should be humble. I'd love to get back at ppl who have hurt me. But I wonder how good I'd feel later...
That woman is unemployed and embittered....she was obviously a bad teacher... now she probably homeless and friendless. Is it justified now?
Load More Replies...Yeah, I was the best student in my Spanish school, but then moved to a Russian high school and suddenly I had the worst grades cause the system was far ahead of where we were at in Spain. Hours of tutoring didn't help me with trigonometry and physics though. I managed to catch up on chemistry, Russian and other classes, but those two subjects just weren't salvageable. The physics teacher was understanding, seeing how much effort I was putting into my work. The trigonometry teacher was a senile b***h that made everyone's life miserable, but would go at my throat more often than not. I mean "the girl that came from Europe, let's make her life miserable for our own failures", right? So, we started driving her crazy and gaslighting her. I actually talked people in the class into gaslighting her and we would say something mean and then when she would react, everyone would say it hadn't happened. She was a lady in her late 60's and the day we actually all drew whiskers on our faces (1|2)
I believe some people need to put others down to feel self worth and power. I had a boss that tormented me and I had to leave... she was going to put me in the loony bin if I dealt with her much longer. She immediately found another victim to pounce on. She was known to be a useless supervisor and yet she stayed. She retired a few years after driving out a few more people.
This Same exact thing happened to me when I was in school I'm 44 now and I remember being bullied by a few teachers and some students a like, I'm high school drop out I dropped out of school in the 10th grade battered and broken in spirit. The insecurities are still there to this day because of my experience in school. And I hear my daughter is having or was having the same experience in her school, but in going through what I went through as a child I was having none of it. Not my child not on my watch.. I went down to the school the very next day and raised hell like it was my calling but when nothing was done about it I went higher up the food chain straight to the school superintendent. And something was done about it immediately following the next day. Reading this post brought flooding back the bad memories I had as a school student
Believe it or not there are lots of teachers like **Mrs Frank** all over and I had my share of them as a child I'm now 44 and it was because of teachers like her that I became a high drop out. No being a high school drop out isn't nothing to be proud of but it happens. I dropped out in the 10th grade battered and bullied by just about every student and a few teachers like Mrs Frank.. Reading this article brings back so many unhappy memories for me during my school days.. But what goes around comes around full circle thanks karma...
If this had happened in the school I went to, that a teacher got dismissed for doing something like that there wouldn't have been enough teachers in the school to teach the students. I had a horrible time at school because I needed help with work and couldn't just get on with the work like most of the others, I am really glad it worked out for you it didn't for me.
I have had many teachers be rude to me, resent me and belittle me simply because I am left handed

i had an algebra teacher call me stupid in front of her class, and also witness me being sexually harassed by a fellow student and did nothing. I reported her, she denied it and proceeded to make my life a living hell rest of the year.
oh boy! i had 2 teachers like that in middle school. one was an english teacher his name was mr bennet, in 7th grade. he had been a collage professor who got bounced because he was an alcoholic. every student in my class was failing because of him. thankfully the school stepped in and tested each of us and found out the truth. they fired him and we all ended up passing.
I was second to last grade wise in school. the only thing I was decent at was maths. I had an algebra teacher that while not insulting was jsut f*****g worthless. She had no idea what she was doing but carried that ignorance with pride and ego. The only math class I failed.... I do remember taking a test I had failed to another algebra teacher to show him my answers and I would have received a B on that test had I had someone who knew how to count grade it.
I had a teacher like that who would assign reports for misdeeds, then take them from you and immediately throw them in the trash without looking at it or you. Mrs. V would call us "ignorant," and say mean things to humiliate us in front of the whole class. Once, I forgot my homework, which was to alphabetize 15 words. So she took a novel, selected 4 pages (double - sided), and told me to alphabetize every word on the pages. We're talking hundreds and hundreds of words. I would only be allowed to do this in school, which meant I would be giving up, recess, gym, music class. I was NOT allowed to take it home. Before I could finish telling my mother about this, someone else's mom called her, with a plan to take this teacher to task with the principal. The assignment was reversed, and she picked on some other kids for a while. To Mrs. Regina V, who said I would never make it into college with my handwriting, suck it, lady; I have a bachelor's and a masters degree. AG
My dad had a real bastard of a teacher in his school in Arundel, back in the 50's/60's. Of course, teachers were allowed to utilise the cane back then and this guy was particularly fond of it. The teacher however, used to ask students to make his cups of tea and their way of getting revenge on him was particularly sweet. Apparently, his drinks ended up containing more dust and chalk powder than anything else, half the time, but he'd still always say it was "a lovely cup of tea" and the kids would enjoy watching him drink it all down! My dad is still surprised to this day that they didn't end up poisoning him!

JUST ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!! Well done! I wish we'd had portable tape recorders back in the '50s... My experience is very similar to yours, 'cept the b***h in question was not satisfied with mere humiliation in front of the class, she'd gladly bounce your tiny body off of the blackboard to emphasize your stupidity. Hope the b***h is dead, so I can go a s**t on her grave
The way a teacher responds to a student can affect the student for life. A teacher with the kind of attitude this one had is in the wrong profession. Once, in 11th grade, I responded to a question in Latin class. I didn't usually, as a very shy teen then. But I was called on directly. When I answered, the teacher detected a question in my voice, and her response made me think I'd answered wrong. I went through every answer possible, before returning to the first one, which was correct. I felt like I wanted to die, as all the other students stared at me. When I asked her why, she simply said, "you didn't sound sure of your answer." That has stuck with me for more than FIFTY years, and it was not till 5 years ago that I found confidence in my own opinions. And that was due to another teacher, one who truly was what a teacher is supposed to be.
Reminds of my high school math teacher. 95% of the class ended up taking private group classes. He was under-qualified, boring and disrespectful to the students. He still teaches in the school as the headmistress didn't believe the students and ended up yelling at them for taking classes outside.
There will always be fools,In all walks of life who just dont get it. 20151016_0...dd65ae.jpg
Sadly, you're still an idiot. She was probably right to be exasperated that all of your other teachers allowed you to advance to her class instead of holding you back in second grade where you still belong.
Fantastic! Lucky you had support from home. I had a teacher who bullied me several years, but I didn't have anyone I could talk to about it, so I just had to survive it.. School can be hell..
Of course there are bad teachers. There are also bad cops, bad grocery store clerks, bad library assistants, bad Presidents, etc, The "we've all had a bad teacher" statement is a bit misleading. I think we can all agree that the bad ones are the minority. It's counterproductive to suggest that there are a great number of individuals in this very difficult profession who act like this.
This reminds me of my 7th~9th grade orchestra teacher. Mrs. D. Oh gosh, it was awful, she acted like a saint to the girls, and even to some of the guys, but gosh dang she hated me. I could do no right. She somehow always knew if I hit a sour note on my violin. I was never a 1st violin, who play most of the melodies (even though we're supposed to switch every semester). But worst of all was 8th grade. It's a little embarrassing to say, but I didn't realize I was lactose intolerant, and I would always have cereal for breakfast. I also had orchestra first and second period. Almost everyday I would have to ask her to go to the restroom. Everytime she would lecture me in front of the class. It was awful, I started to have periods of time where I just couldn't go to school for weeks, because I knew that she'd be there. Thank heavens I'm a senior in high school, with a better orchestra teacher.
Wow. You know a teacher when she can motivates her student. What a bad mouth can really do to you these days is makes worth controlling it in any profession. At the end of the day the consumer is still right.
In post Soviet countries lots of teachers are like this one. I wish I had camera 20 years ago,to film my French language teacher.
My English teacher got me suspended twice in less than a week for bullying her? She always picked on me and sent me to the principals office for not even doing anything. People behind me were talking and she blamed me even though I was sitting alone. I complained so much about her to the principal that eventually he set up a mediation session but he wasn't able to attend so the schools social worker did. Everything was supposed to be confidential so I spoke my mind and called her a b***h. She went to the principal and said that I called her mean names during class which turned into my first suspension. 3 days later when I returned i asked for a new teacher and the principal agreed but the b****y teacher told the principal I verbally abused her in the parking lot after school and with no security cameras they took her word for it so I got suspended again. My sister had the same problem with that teacher previously so maybe she just had a thing for my family, I don't know.
This story is a great reminder of how heartless teachers can hurt children. In 6th grade there was an incident with a teacher humiliating me in front of the class. I've never been able to think about it without a lump in my throat. Even now, with that old crone long dead in her grave, my eyes fill with tears.....and I'm 65 years old!
I did have this kind of situation but unfortunately the whole school was filled with so-called "Mrs. Franks" including teachers as well as principal and other administration officers. As a result, I dropped out from that hell and learned at my own pace. You are definitely one lucky fellow to have revenge served on a plate.
The only thing wrong with this story is this kids desire for vengeance. He had the right to be heard and ask for justice to be done in this situation. But justice and vengeance are two different things. He didn't just want the abuse to stop and to be treated fairly, he wanted to ruin her life and humiliate her and he seems to bag taken a lot of pleasure in it. All that tells me is that this teacher really got inside of his head. He still seems bitter and prbably now has issues from all this that will last a long time.
My only bad teacher was first grade. Mrs. Dominick used to rap my knuckles for writing with my left hand. One day my mom asked why my hand was bruised. I told her. We went to the school. My mom (the daughter of a WWII veteran USMC gunnery sergeant) unloaded on Mrs. Dominick. I had no trouble with another teacher for being left handed again.
I was ambidextrous when I was a toddler. My paternal grandfather saw me holding my fork with my left hand. He got upset and told my dad to make me use my right. Which of course he did. The irony is my pop pop was left handed and believed the stigma of being left handed means you're not so smart. At least I believe that was the old wise tale.
Load More Replies...I spent most of my time in school in Eugene, OR. In High School, I never really had any problems like those in the article. However, in the lower grades, 4th through 9th grades, I encountered several teachers like the one in the article, unfortunately there were no recording devices portable enough for covert classroom recordings, so the rotten teachers simply got away with their abuses.
Why high school? Any bad teacher at any grade level is devastating. At least by high school age young adults have attained some degree of confidence and assertiveness.
You got her fired because of insults. When we were young we got canned regularly and now we laugh it off.
I don't think ruining someone for calling you names is justice. It wasn't in his control so it's not his fault, but it definitely went too far. The teacher deserved a taste of her own medicine for sure, but maybe it would have been enough to suspend her without pay and make her go to some kind of self improvement workshops.
At first I thought it was good this kid thought of a way to publicly address the situation but then halfway through when he told of what problems the teacher had I realized her treatment had deeper causes than just hating kids. I had an algebra teacher just like her (thought it was her at first) and she was my counselor! Needless to say I failed that class but took it again in summer school, had a wonderful teacher and got straight A's.
I feel you, bro. I once had this teacher who would give me hell every class. One day, she came into the class in one of her moods . She gave us an exercise to do and then just sat there on her phone. I was the first to finish, probably because I had written my answers in short form. I went up to her and presented my work. She said "What is this?" and i, being the sarcastic b***h I am, said, "The e answers." She told me that she wanted it in long form and I explained that I didn't know and she told me I should've so she sent me to my seat to do it over. Now, I said, :" But miss...". That was all I said. She got SUPER upset and said "But what?".Everyone started looking at us, one student said "She's stupid" and the teacher said "No, she's dumb" I got upset and I said I'm not dumb and she said I was and I should shut up so i told her i wouldn't and let her call me dumb so she gave me detention because i was dumb and i wouldn't accept it. My father told the vice principal but no luck.
How do you guys write long posts? I can't type more than something like 100 characters..
Do you have an apple ipad? On mine I could only type a certain amount of characters. On my android phone and tablet, you can type as much as you want. Also, Bored Panda's website allows you to write unabandoned.
Load More Replies...A teacher was once mean to me too... the thing was that she didn't even teach my class! She worked with one student in particular, because they had learning difficulties. When I was much smaller I poured some water on the ground and she grabbed me by the forehead and yelled at me. Later, she bossed me around and I looked at her in a questioning kind of way 'cause I didn't understand what she trying to tell me to do and she got so angry- told one of my friends not to get involved with me because of my 'attitude problem'. I complained and the day afterwards she stormed out of school and never came back!
Once a music teacher said my class was sad, wrote a letter about to my principal about it, the next year she retired. Coincidence, I think not.
I am a professional teacher of high school math. I have aM.A. in Mathematics and over 10 years experience in teaching math. You come across as vindictive as all get out but you were justified in this case. But try not to live for revenge or your life would be a sad one. In my experience the other teachers usually know who is a bad teacher but as you saw, not the administrators. I was fairly easy going with my students but relentless in getting them to work and learning math. I encouraged them to talk with me and each other when we were doing work. I would quietly walk around and keep everybody on track without making a fuss. The students did not especially like me because I made them work but they respected me because they actually learned math. I would always accept late work and let them retake tests, provided they came in after school and let me tutor them. I did not make it easy to fail. But I cannot imagine any teacher acting like this one and I'm glad she is gone!
Why do these sites steal s**t from Reddit instead of finding their own material?
I graduated from high school in 1970. I remember having some tough teachers, but I never wanted personal revenge. I am sorry for saying this, but I feel bad that you ruined this teacher's whole career. What a vengeful person you are! Get your diploma and get a life you loser!
No teacher has the right to belittle any student, but I am a bit surprised it was his math teacher and not his English teacher. Just sayin'.
To be honest, your glee over her financial ruin kinda makes you sound like a complete prick.
This goes to show that being a bad student doesn't mean you're stupid... and being a good one doesn't mean you'll be successful or great in life. I was a straight-A student for most of my school years (and I too had an algebra +chemistry tutor). Fast forward 8 years... I'm 26 years old, have tried 2 and a half careers, have tried other projects, jobs... and can't find what the hell it is that I'm supposed to do in life.
Not to be Freud here, but Mrs. Frank clearly associated this young man with someone she despised. She was clearly exhibiting transference on to this young man.
Wow, he is a little vindictive c**t and I doubt this story actually happened as written.
Epilogue: Mrs Frank hanged herself, being on a verge of being exmitted, struggling to feed her kids. No idea what is worse - her being bully and b***h or him being so blindly vengeful and happy that somebody's life has been destroyed :P
You're just inventing that epilogue. The teacher was abusive. Why are you siding with the abuser?

Load More Replies...What are you, a mafia boss? "Tattle tale"? What are you, ten years old? The author demonstrated that the teacher was abusive. Her job was to teach, not to abuse the students. She was clearly behaving inappropriately in the workplace and suffered the conseqences. The only reason for someone to respond the way you have here is that you identify with the abuser, rather than the victim. That says a lot about you as a person. Did you get caught doing something unethical or illegal and now you're projecting onto the author the rage you feel about whoever blew the whistle on you? People should absolutely be called out for inappropriate behavior, especially when they're in positions of authority. Calling the whistle blower a "tattle tale" is woefully missing the point (or intentionally missing the point, in an attempt to create a distraction from the offense).
Load More Replies...This wasn't plotting revenge. This was whistle blowing on someone who was behaving utterly inappropriately in their job.

Load More Replies...I went to school in Detroit Michigan and in the second grade i had a teacher who threw erasers at kids in my class and she hit the wall with one of those pointers used for maps.
Load More Replies...What I like about it is that it immediately feels like justice. What I do not like about it is the stressing of the revenge aspect in it. If we would make everyday a strive for justice but never seek revenge, the world would be a better place.
It's not "revenge" for the teacher to be fired and blackballed from the profession. She never should have been within hailing distance of any student, anywhere, ever. I've run into teachers like her before, both as a student and as a teacher. What they do is child abuse and it can have lifelong effects.
Load More Replies...Dude. If you are reading this - thank you.

I went shortly after and passed my GED without studying (which is the equivalent of a 12th grade education).

Load More Replies...My maths teacher told me a lot of times that I know you are going to be a drug addict and you are a useless member of our society and you never gonna find a job because you dont deserve it.. the funny thing is that i was her best student but i was lazy.. i really started to hate her classes and i stopped to love maths too.
Load More Replies...I was a good student, but I had a teacher that ruined Algebra for me. I was really looking forward to Algebra, geometry etc. She was an awful teacher, made me feel stupid.

I had many teachers be rude to me, resent me and belittle me simply because I am left handed.
i had an algebra teacher call me stupid in front of her class, and also witness me being sexually harassed by a fellow student and did nothing.
