I get annoyed with the fact BP leaves the closed posts on the site for so long! What are y’all’s thoughts or opinions?

I love bored panda but there's two things:
1. The app low key sucks. I don't get notifications from it, can't see activity, and posts get jacked up. So I go to the web.
2. Closed posts. I had a post close in two days and another still going from almost two weeks before. I can't find an explanation. Also, why do some say "(closed)" and others just... Close without saying. Is it just me?
It is pretty annoying to muddle through the closed posts but overall, I am okay with all things BP.
The community is great… mostly. Then there’s the people who attack posts ruthlessly with downvotes just because they don’t agree with / understand what’s being said, the people who take any kind of thing regarding politics or religion personally and have to comment / downvote, etc…..
The staggering, ridiculous amount of censorship that seems to get even worse! I get there’s a need for it however at the amount we’re at now, it is ruining a lot of what would otherwise be good vibes.
Most anything crass.
But some people like that kind of stuff, so I just move on to something else.
Everything becomes political - even when the topics have nothing at all to do with politics. And the downvoting of anything someone doesn’t agree with. There shouldn’t even be downvoting since it just makes people afraid to say what they really think. What do they call it in communist countries? Sticking to the party line? Something like that.
The absolute lack of real editing in most content. Sometimes there's lists/articles/whatever you wanna call it, where half of the posts/entries don't even match the title or theme. There's doubles, there's stock photos with hardly any context to the post, there's cencoring of an absolutely stupid extent. And then, of course, the voting system in the comments. There is absolutely no sound need for this.
Oh yeah and of course the fact there's still no dark theme option, neither for the website nor the app.
It bothers me that BP staff don't edit the headlines to the pics and posts they import from reddit (or, in the reddit replies themselves). They often make absolutely no sense in a BP list!
The obvious need to include language that does not improve a post.
Yes, it does seem an awful lot of posters feel their added x!/@!! words somehow make what they are saying more meaningful.
