Would you rather have 1 million dollars but have to spend 15% of it on helping people or 5 million dollars but you can't spend a penny of that money on anyone but yourself.

This past week I literally searched my house for change to buy a box of pasta, so I'm gonna choose the one million minus the 15% to help others. I'd still have more than enough to get myself out of this hole, move my family out of this area, and possibly not worry if we'll have food for a while. I'd love to be a philanthropist, but we're just too damn broke. I'd perfer to donate the $150000 to RAINN if possible.

5 million. On the face of it you are not doing any good, but if you have to spend it, you are putting that money into the economy, helping a wider range of people.

In all honesty, the five million. It might be selfish but I'm worried enough about myself, I can't afford to give up 4 million dollars to help other people. Especially since I have little to no clue what I want to do with my life and I need to pay for my ADHD meds or I actually might die (not bc of the lack of meds but bc of the stuff my brain says and does without them)

the five million, myself can spend the money at places like charities that sell stuff or somethin (i don’t know what it’s called) and both sides benifit!

Would you rather have the power of shapeshift or the powers of every villan (that has powers) combined?

I’d do the $1m and give 15% to help others. I know with the $850,000 left over I’d be able to pay off my mortgage and all my other debt, do some things to my house and have plenty leftover help my kids with college and put some away.

I could do either one. If I had to spend 15% on other people that would only be like $150000

Definitely the 1 million. There’s so much good I could do in the (South American) country I live in I could do with it. And having already close relations to volunteer work Organizations I would know where it goes to. Even half of a million would get me through life investing it smart into a place to live and a dream job to build up by my own.

5 million. You could use it to do a lot of helpful things, like go to medical school. If you do want to help people, you could always do volunteer work.

5 million, and I would spend it building a Bowling alley and possible theatre/concert venue.
