Tonight we finally tried the local Thai place. I've been wanting to try it for soooo long. To say it was a disappointment is putting it mildly, $65 wasted.

Went to a pizza place in Maryland and as I was taking a bite of pizza, something flaked off the bottom of the crust and hit my plate. It was a cockroach.
Going to an expensive steak restaurant only to get both of our steaks beyond well-done when we ordered them medium rare. The server forgot about them so they stayed under the heat lamps and burnt beyond repair. Waste of time and money and haven't been back since.
Af a restaurant in New York with my family. When we finished the meal our server gave the card machine to me. When my wife started she would be paying, our server got angry and said that I needed to prove that I'm a man by paying
This isn’t too bad. Once, when traveling, we stopped for dinner at a restaurant shortly after arriving at our destination. The food was terrible, and hair was in it. The plates were not well washed, and neither was the silverware. And it was very overpriced.
Went to a local bakery. (Not exactly a restaurant but IDC). I was looking at the cakes behind the glass and a LIVE MOUSE jumps out from INSIDE OF THE CAKE. There was bite marks and crumbs everywhere. Told the manager and he sent me out. So much for helping, huh?
When my kids climb under a table before COVID like in 2018. At steak n shake and embarrassed the c**p out of me. There where people setting at the table. A couple. I bet they where like, we are never having kids
Went to a restaurant with some people. We ordered a mix grill. They brought us a pork steak rare. I told the waitress and her answer was "that's ok, many people like it with blood". I told her to take it back to the kitchen and learn the difference between beef steak and pork...
Also had ordered a plate of liver with caramelized onions - for those who don't know you caramelize them with a dash of honey - I got a plate of liver swimming in black liquid. When I tried it it was so awful
.. again waitress responded with "that's how we make it here. With vinegar" -_-
Years ago, my husband and I went to this new Russian restaurant. We were super excited as we’ve never eaten this type of food. My husband orders a chicken Kiev and I this mini ravioli-type dish. We were told my husband’s dish was going to take some time to cook, about 30min, which we were fine with. We waited 1.5+ hours for our food! Waiters kept saying “food is coming” over and over again. People who arrived after us got their food first. We should have left, but we really wanted to try the food. Food finally comes out and my husband’s chicken is completely raw inside. My ravioli was cold in the middle (clearly from it being frozen). We’re not ones to complain, but this was absurd. Told the waiter and he agreed that my husband’s chicken was in fact raw. Told him about my dish being cold in the middle, to which he responds “oh, that’s because when food cools down, it gets cold in the inside first.” WFT??? They said they would redo my husband’s dish, to which we denied and asks for the check. They comped my husband’s food, but not mine and gave us a certificate for a free appetizer for next time. Needless to say we left and never came back. Restaurant didn’t last long after that.
My wife and I went to our favorite fondue restaurant, The Melting Pot, for the first time in a few years. It's a nice romantic place filled with cozy nooks and great food and usually great service. This night would not be the case.
Not only did we get seated in the main dining room, but it was "family night" - which meant that the place was swarming with loud screaming children that made both of our anxiety disorders flare up. Our server was too busy dealing with tables of more people (that he was probably assuming would be heavier tippers) to provide any kind of service for us.
Before the dessert course, the manager stopped by and asked how we were doing and my wife was choking back the tears as she honestly told him how terrible our night was. He moved us into one of the more private tables and bought us dessert, but the damage was done and we've not been back since.
