Domestic - Cats and Dogs. I've had a wide range of pets over the years and prefer cats. I love my dog though.
Wild - Owls and Platypus. I don't know why I like Owls but I liked them before they became popular. Platypus will always be my favorite, they're entire being is a dichotomy and that amuses me way too much.

Maybe not original but dogs. Especialy beagles. They are humankind's right hand man since 10 000 BC, and I love them for that. Secondly, have you ever seen a beagle puppy stairing at you? It makes your heart melt. Seriously.
