I've only recently joined Bored Panda, but on some other platforms have got into arguments with the occasional troll.
Trigger Warning!: Homophobia
There was a discussion on the history of the AIDS epidemic on my learning platform and someone took offense at being taught the history. They proceeded to claim that God hates all gay people and that in the eyes of god, gay people can be legally m*rdered etc...
Everyone shut that sh!t down so fast, it was the best show of community I had ever seen on the platform and the Troll deleted AND apologized.
Turns out, he was just a 14 year old kid parroting his parents...

I have interacted with very few trolls on this site and thankfully it never led to an argument between us. I don’t agree with them but I usually ignore them as they want the attention and they want you to be outraged. They want the downvotes
