Aside from covid, what was the worst thing?

The worst thing is this whole entire year. Can’t just pick one coz s**t has been snowballing since The very first day of 2020.

Realizing that the relationship I'd had with my father for the last 10 years or so was based solely on mutual pain. He and I were in a bad place, and now that I'm not there, he keeps trying to pull me back. It sucks, and I have no idea what to do with it anymore.

Yeah... sucky year here:
I work in a cabinet making shop where I was floor manager. I decided to step down and give the job to a more experienced outsider as we kept running into organizational issues which my boss wouldn't consider seriously. From that point on, I was completly shoved aside... ("it's not your job anymore, you're just a cabinet maker now"), making my situation and my life miserable up to my summer vacation... where I got hit by a car on the first week-end and fractured my ankle. Cast for the following 8 weeks. Also decided with my s/o that after 6 years of try-outs and fertility treatments, we are giving up on having a family...

Not much to celebrate.

I lost a father figure in January, then lost a brother to cancer in February. I was able to fly out and say goodbye to my brother, but I couldn't get to the funeral. While I was visiting him, a friend of mine passed away from brain cancer. 2020 sucked way before Covid was a thing 😞
