Is there a name for the night before Halloween where you're from?

Most people call it "Hallow'eve", or "All Hallows Eve", but my family just calls it "Raccoon Night" (since we keep procrastinating and having to scrounge for costumes the night before)

Halloween (31st October) is actually "All Hallows Eve" not the day before. 1st November is All Hallows Day also known as All Saints Day.

Goosey Night, where I was from in western Bergen Co. NJ. But I can think of 6 others from nearby areas.

for the night of Oct. 30-31.. I also know:

    Cabbage Night,
    Devil's Night (also Devil's Eve),
    Egg Night (or Soap Night),
    Gate Night,
    Hell Night,
    Mischief Night.

Trick Night and Bonfire Night are ones I only read in old local papers.. like 1920's old.

But Goosey is what I grew up with.
