I'm In A Good Mood Today And For Some Reason I Hate It. So To Cure This Problem I Come To Ask You, What's The Saddest Thing You Witnessed Or Heard Of? (And Will I Be Crying In Tears On The Floor?)

I worked in a restaurant and I was with my coworker when he got the news that his son died. It was heartbreaking. The howl that he made, such anguish. It was the worst sound I ever heard. We were neighbors, so I drove him home and he was bawling. Even worse was he had a son that died 2 years prior.

If you don't mind me asking, how old was his son? Completely fine if you don't answer!

kind of happy sad. My Finnish grandmothers last words where "Thank you" in English to my dad(her son-in-law ) for no particular reason just for being a good son-in-law. Her English was never good and she would usually just communicate in Finnish and my dad in English to her.

Pretty much anything the Israelis have done to innocent Palestinians in the West Bank.

Fighting to root out terrorists is one thing.

Going outside of your designated border to bulldoze homes to make space for yourselves, killing a journalist wearing a vest marked with 'Press', preventing children from going to school, holding grieving mothers away from their child killed simply for protesting, killing a teenager sitting outside her home during a "military operation" are all completely other things.

All of these things have happened in the past year. This May, Israel will mark its 75th year of existence, and not a year has gone by that Israel has not caused harm to Palestinians.

It started with buying land from the Palestinians' landlord, the British, and eviciting them. It started with stealing water sources, before Israel became known for desalinization. It started "peacefully". How much longer will Israel be held to a status that makes it immune to criticism to its racist policies while labelling those who dare raise their voice for Palestinian rights as antisemetic?
