using a nail file on your teeth to sharpen them
But seriously why would someone do that? THEY WILL MAKE IT HARDER TO EAT!!!
Pants worn nearly falling down.
Yes! Even if they have shorts underneath, it still look like underwear half the time. And when they wear over sized pants without shorts they are already used to there pants being at their knees and then see there real underwear
"Influencers"! They have no place in a sensible universe.
I don't know who this is written by. I'm not sure if you think the concept of the internet is evil itself (Hi Karen) or if you think infulencers are bad. Either way, there is some truth to both statments, but they are both false. There are some really stupid and irresponsible influencers, not naming anyone, but people going out during covid, downvoting education, etc. However, there are some people who don't promote this s**t. It's quite foolish to assume everyone with some form of social media is not sensible or promoting evil or whatever.
This one is a fairly old one, but there was one circulating the internet known as the "Blue Whale Challenge"...the ultimate result was literal suicide by jumping off of a bridge or high structure of sorts. Our school district at the time when the challenge was making its rounds across the internet issued a warning email to parents, and my dad told me about it one night and I had to reassure him that I knew about it but would never do such a thing. Mental health isn't necessarily something to joke about, let alone make a "challenge" out of.
The moral is: If you know someone struggling, point them in the RIGHT direction, not the WRONG direction.
Oh god, I remember seeing an article that explained this challenge
The people on Tik Tok who were pretending to be Holocaust victims. So messed up.
Grown ass men putting skulls on things.
Ok dunno if this was a trend, but it was a challenge from like a year ago, It was the Blue Whale Challenge, if anyone remembers that.
Whats the blue whale challenge? I haven't heard of half of these. Just wondering
The coronavirus challenge. It started when a girl on a plane licked the toilet seat
The Perfume challenge, where kids where putting perfume on their chest and then setting it on fire. Also the condom snorting challenge. I really don't know who comes up with these things.
The ice bucket challenge when they just dumped solid ice on people instead of cold water
It actually got to a point when someone got human waste instead of ice water cuz some bullies switched out the bucket.
I’ve seen lots of dumb trends
~Eating Tide pods
~Licking toilets
~Sharpening your teeth
And I’m pretty sure I saw this one where you try to see how many pills of something you can swallow (that one I don’t knwo for sure cause it’s just...smh)
People deciding eating chicken "rare" or "medium rare" was a good idea.
The trend where you wear super short shorts with an oversized hoodie to make it look like you have no pants. Kids at school would always do this, but they ended up getting in trouble because it’s against the dress code
tide pods
guessing you mean not the actual useful pods, but the trend of eating them?
The stop breathing challenge....in 7th grade girls were doing it before gym class and pressuring other girls to do it and I felt so unsafe and when I told the counselor and said I wanted to keep it anonymous she told those girls that I said something and they got mad at me cause I was looking out for their safety >_
Crocs
Opening a tub of ice cream, licking it, and putting it right back.
The Pet Rock. It was a rock that came in a cardboard box that had cutout sides so that it served as its display case, there was a small pile of raffia, and a small fortune cookie-like paper with the rock’s name and it just sat in the box on your shelf or desk or what-have-you. Late 1970s.
not AS bad as the rest of them.... it's not going to kill somebody
Okay I don't know if it was a trend but tons of kids were doing it in my school snorting pixie sticks to stupid and this one was definitely not a trend but really made me mad someone in my area got into a car crash and no one knew who was in the other car I believe (I will have to check it out again to get the real details) so a girl took advantage of that and her friends started making tik-toks saying that she DIED in the crash and RIP she will never be forgotten her parents let her skip school well idk but she did not attend well she was "dead" then she came to school straight out said she just faked it to see peoples reaction I mean seriously that is a really dumb thing to do people were upset they thought she had actually passed I was really annoyed (I know I'm late and it's closed but really wanted to share this)
