Hey Pandas, What’s Something You Picked Up From A Family Member Without Even Realizing It? (Closed)
We get a lot of things from our families - special recipes, birthmarks in unique places, and music taste. What's one thing, a trait, a talent, a hobby, that you've picked up from a family member and didn't realize for the longest time?

I picked mom and uncle's ability to know what song is playing before the artist even starts singing. I did that one time with my sister and it drove her nuts.
Ooh I can do that too! I'm like a human Shazam as long as I know the songs lol
I have a brown line on my fingernail and my family was so worried and thought it was cancer, so I had to many doctors and X-rays to see if it was okay, but it turns out I just had a mole on my finger like my grandpa. He never said anything and like 8 years later I see he has the same thing on his finger.
I picked up my father's love language of fixing things and just being there in general if someone needs help. Some people commented on that the other day and for me it's normal, because my dad is like this. But being in an environment with a lot of people who are women or socialized as women, including myself, I see that not everyone is like that, also because not everyone has the tech gene I got from my dad.
I inherited my dad's musical inclination. I'm naturally very good at anything musical like my dad is. I play violin and I don't even need to practice most of the time. I just get music.
My father and I have the exact same facial expression when we are bored/annoyed. We're like "😐". I didn't realize until he told me himself.
Told my papa I needed speech lessons. Turns out he took them for 4 years starting at the age I was then (11 I think). Jokes on him, it only took me six months.
Picked up my mom'habit of sticking my tongue out a little when concentrating super hard on a physical task, ie, learning to play a song on the piano or sewing.
I have creative types on both sides of the family--one of my dad's cousins makes and collects medieval weapons and mail, a great-uncle on my mom's side makes wooden miniature buildings from scrap, I could go on. I used to think I had weird tastes, but now I realize...weird just runs in the family :)
my dad is a chef. He tought me how to cook. He always cooks for my mother to show her how much he loves her. Now cooking for other people is my love language. Or ffood in general. I'm the friend who always brings snacks on a trip or when coming over. I love cooking for my roommate and I'd be so sad if she wouldn't eat what I made for her.
Thanks to my grandfather I know how to hug people for real. My husband especially appreciates this quality from me.
