Kids have wild imaginations or sometimes our parents just straight up tell us weird stuff. So just feel free to share something stupid or funny that you used to believe as a kid.

I thought naptime was a punishment
I love cats so much that when I was in second grade I really seriously thought I would become a cat at some point along the way (before adulthood). I, of course, then forgot about this for 50 or so years, but one morning I woke and thought “HEY! I was supposed to be a cat by now.” I still feel rooked!
I thought if I ate candy, all my teeth would fall out and if I drank pop, I would explode (my mom taught me that). You can imagine my reaction when I found out my aunt had given me a piece of candy.
i thought you only had 1000 words a month. when i got to talkative, my dad would say i was well over 900. they said they "knew" how many words i had left. those tricksters.
I thought when I watched sitcoms in the 60s that when someone was asked if they would like a drink and they replied "I don't drink" that they never drank anything, even water. How thirsty they must have been!
l thought that religion was believable. Then l had to hide the fact that l thought that from my mum as, when l did say it, she tried to ban me from christmas. l hated it so much!
* "had changed my mind", instead of "l thought that"
