What is something you’re proud of after overcoming something major in your life? Ie: mental health, addiction, toxic relationship, weight loss, etc.

I had severe depression with panic attacks and intrusive thoughts. Before that I already had phases hating myself, including being on the edge of an eating disorder. Now, I have PhD, a loving husband and the cutest little 1.5 year old. And most important: I love myself (because if you don’t love yourself, how the hell are you going to love somebody else?)

When I was arguing with my dad, I had such severe anxiety, I couldn't go to school for 2 weeks, and nobody knew what was wrong with me. The worst thing is my dad didn't even care. Anyways, I am now officially diagnosed with general anxiety and panic disorder BUT in therapy. My anxiety isn't nearly as bad as it used to be. Mind you I'm 13 years old.

It's a good thing to have gotten it diagnosed and somewhat under control and only being 13!! This is going to drastically improve your adult life. I promise.

I'm 15 years old, and have recovered from severe MDD and severe social anxiety.

What I've achieved? Great friends and a great hobby. I play DnD with my friends about once a month and they introduced me to it, giving me a passion that I'll have for a long time. Other people including you can make all the difference.

Passion in anything is so therapeutic for one's self! I'm so happy for your achievements and the friendships you've made. I'm sure in the future you'll be able to pay this forward because you can relate to what someone else may be feeling.

I was able to get my driver's license back. I had to pay a lot of money for fee's and whatnot. Just recently I was able to get my first real credit card (41f) and my credit score is better than it's ever been! I've been sober for almost 5 1/2 years and am so proud of myself for getting my life back on the right track!

Good for you!!! It's never too late to grow up lol. It took me 35 years to become an adult. Having your DL and a CC are huge achievements in life for someone who never cared about those types of responsibilities. I'm so proud of you!
