I've been a fan of the books since I was a preteen. The movies came out years later. I was gobsmacked except for Return of the King. That's not how it ends. I reread the trilogy recently and am watching Fellowship tonight. I know it needed editing for time but Butterbur and Maggot character lined are missing. To fast from the Shire to Rivendell. Your thoughts?
