Have you ever found out you have a fear or a phobia because you encountered it?

Heights. Discovered on a Sky Tram ride at a fair. Didn’t realize til then that I’d never been at any far up height my whole life until then. Enlightening. Guess I can scratch “jumping off a building” from my “okay ways to die” list.

I personally didn't realize I had megalophobia until I played No Mans Sky. (For those who haven't played it's a video game that takes place in space) and when I would fly off of a planet and turn around too soon, my anxiety would skyrocket when I would see the GIANT planet behind me.

I had this fear since time immemorial, like I was 3-4 years old. I still have it and I'm 25 now💀

I have a fear of stairs. All my life I havent been to places with stairs. Until I went to my great aunts house. When i climbed up my anxiety started to rise and I had a panic attack
