Hey Pandas, What’s A Book You Want To Read Again But Cannot Remember The Title Of?
I have read lots of books over the years, oftentimes I will remember part of one, usually at 3 am, and drive myself crazy trying to remember the book.
Enter what you remember of the book, other than "It had a blue cover" and let's see if other Pandas can help us find our books!

About an older lady who runs a place where people rent out cottages. She fosters or adopts two girls and they don't like eachother. Then the lady passes away and the girls try to hide it in order to be able to stay together and in the house.
Oh my god!! Ok so I got this book in like 5th grade, signed by the author who came to our school and everything, and my dad accidentally threw it away and Ive never been able to remember the name. Now it's been like ten years since I read it so the details are a little foggy but basically it was a book that jumped between time periods from the point of view of this family on vacation, and this ghost girl who had been a slave when she was alive.
I can't remember exactly but I think the little girl from the future period could see her. And the ghost girl was hanged after being accused of a murder she didn't commit and now all these years later she's trying to get this little girl to help prove she was innocent. And all I can remember with clarity is at the end of the book the girl finds these little gemmed statues of twins that the ghost girl called "my bebes" and Ive tried looking for it so many times and I can't find it and ITS KILLING ME THAT I CANT REMEMBER THE NAME!! Lol
l don't know that particular book, but l did read one that sounds similar. A girl slips back in time and ends up staying with this family and then something happens and l think these other people come after her for some reason but she manages to get back to her own time. It is called Playing Beatie Bow by Ruth Park.
A mind reader, he works for cash in hand, ghost writing essays for students at a university, his mind reading skills give him an impression of the student so can write convincingly in their "style". He is friendless, his only company is a sister who has a child. He once met one other mind reader, who played the stock market. I liked this book because the mind reading was a bit of a cursed gift, he is unable to make any use of it, other than living on the margins of society.
It was a very old non-fiction book about academic excellence through the use of the moon.
I might sound crazy, but I wanted to at least hear what it had to say. Read a few pages online and lost it and have not been able to find it since.
Okay so it was about these kids who live in a city of darkness and outside the city walls is COMPLETE darkness I think there was some sort of power issue which would take away their source of light and these kids are trying to find a way outside of the city I remember the cover had a lit light bulb on a black background and the title has "City" in it I read it for a fourth grade assignment and it was a really good book I would kill to find it again
It's a book about a electro Magnetic bomb that made all the normal humans into some kinda beasts. Only old people (because of their state of brain ) kids , teenager's and people with dramatic experience were unaffected. A girl and a by went into a city build by old people. They had walls around it. I remember that the girl could communicate with those still human monsters.
Sadly it's all I can remember :(

I need to read it again because I can't remember if it worked or not.
This just came to me. Homeward Bound. My cousin loaned me her copy of the book when I was about 12.
There was a fantasy series ( l think 4 or 5 books) l borrowed from a guy from church. l can only remember the first book a boy and girl travel (or maybe go on a guest) to another city and l think there was a sorcerer they met on the way. The guy l borrowed then from died in the years since so can't ask him.
it kind of sounds like the magic treehouse series but i could be wrong.
This happened to me forever ago. All I could remember was that the cover was silver and it had either a sword or an axe on it. It was a fantasy genre book. I had bought it at a book store and then lost it. I actually found it again years later at the library in the town I moved to. Turns out it's called Dawnthief.
My book is about 2 kids who grew up on a deserted island the girls mother and guys father met at a cult and decided to run off together. later when they were teenagers the mom and dad took poisonous mushrooms and walked into the sea. 1 year later a boat rescues them and they are both taken to a hospital where the girls grandmother picks her up but the boy who's name I believe was Luke had no family and lived on the beach afterwards. well long story short the grandma didn't want the girl to be around him anymore but the girl ran away and lived with Luke for a day before he was shot by the police. I don't remember if he died or not or even the last bit of the story. Anyone know the name?
Does anyone know i found it again several years ago but i forgot againd
