I've always wondered how bad dates could get. As for my date which never happened, I'd like to know what to expect and laugh as a fellow sadist of the community, at others' stories. Hope you can too.

This is just recently: I met a guy on a dating site and after a few basic back and forth texts we agreed to meet. I went to introduce myself and shake his hand and he grabbed it and shoved it down his pants. In a very busy parking lot.

Tf- What would you do in that situation? What did you do in that situation? That's terrifying and so just not right.

Dated a guy whom I had met via a relative of mine. I had been told he was a nice and "promising" young man. We went to a restaurant. He talked about him and his problems the whole time. I tried to switch to other topics, but he was like "no no, let me tell you". At the end, he literally told me not to pin my hopes in a relationship with him, because wanted his future girlfriend to have blue eyes and blonde hair, and I did not qualify (I am a green-eyed brunette). I was in my early 20s, very young and insecure at that time, so this was pretty rude.

went on a date with a guy from tinder (first red flag) - we met in the city to have a coffee and go for a walk. It was a warm spring saturday so there were many people (gladly). We grabbed coffee, walked and talked for a bit. After a little while he started to tell me about his criminal record. He was indicted for burglary, dangerous bodily harm and drug trafficking (second very red flag). I don't know why I stayed but I stayed longer and he proceeded to talk about his "crazy ex girlfriend" (third one) and how he had to hit her to get her to shut up.... That was the beraking point and I acted like I got a text and needed to leave. He insisted on walking me to my car (No. 4) I refused because I had a company car at the time with the loho and adress on the door and I didn't wanted him to know where I work. He than offered to come home with him to have sex. I again refused and just walked away. He proceeded to follow me saying "he shaved just for me"... (fifth red fleg) I'm glad the streets were full of people. I managed to cut him off and leave but holy s**t this dude was weird af.

This was in the late 90's, before everyone had cell phones/social media. I was 19. Had a blind date with a guy once and we had arranged to meet at the movies. About 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave home, he calls me and tells me he is going to need me to pick him up. Doesn't ask if I can, just tells me to do it. Then gives me his address which is about 30 minutes in the opposite direction of the movie theater we were supposed to meet at. I was annoyed, but picked him up anyway and we went to the movies. He insisted that we see the one movie that was playing that I didn't want to see. We were so late that by the time we got popcorn and made it into the theater, the movie was starting. We ended up having to sit in the vert front row and he talked through the ENTIRE movie about the Naval training program he was in. After the movie he asked if I wanted to get dinner at X restaurant. I said I didn't mind getting something to eat but could we go somewhere else because I worked at that restaurant and I didn't want to go in there on my night off. He insisted. So we went and he spent the whole meal going on and on about his Naval training program, repeating himself and talking about how great he was. Halfway through dessert I excused myself to go to the restroom and I snuck out and left him there with the bill and to find his own ride home. He called me back 6 months later and asked me if I wanted to go out again and talk about all the good times we had. I just hung up on him.

Went to check out a room for rent in Olympia, WA in the 70's. Declined the room, I was looking for more privacy. The owner of the place asked me to go to the movies with him. Sure, why not, I was new in town. He took me to see Swept Away, the one with subtitles and a lot of sex and the dialogue I remember the most was her telling the man in French "S*d*m*ze me." Seriously? On a first date with a 19-year-old you've just met? I was so uncomfortable through the whole thing, couldn't wait to get home.

So I met this girl online several years ago. We talked for a couple of months via phone calls, texts, and email. It was Valentines Day so I called her asked her what she was doing. She said she had planned to order pizza and watch movies with her dog. So, I asked her out to dinner. We had been talking for two months, we both lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had never met in person. We agreed that it was time to meet. We were going to meet at a restaurant and hopefully have a nice dinner. I was super excited. I went to the store and got her a square snapped box of chocolates and a yellow rose. It was Valentines Day after all but I didn't want to look crazy with a heart shaped box and red roses, not on our first in-person meeting. We were set up to meet at like six that evening. I arrived a few minutes early. Just as I arrived she texted me and told me she was going to be few minutes late because she had to finish her hair. So I wait. 10 minutes....20 minutes.....30 minutes.....that box of chocolates is starting to look pretty good.......45 minutes.......I bet her hair is amazing......1 hour.....then I get a text. "I'm so sorry but I can't make it." After that I never heard from her again. I called and texted for a few days then just gave up.

It wasn't a date.
It was a random encounter at a club. She was taller than me, very handsy and take-charge, we danced, we smooched, we left separately after exchanging phone numbers.
Next day I get a call from a lady claiming she was this girl's mom. (Where did she get my number from??) Apparently, she ran away from home, from out of town, was only 15 or something (I was 19!!) and if I knew where she was. Asked me what we did while actually making it sound like what did I do TO her, but at the same time begging me for more info because her girl still hadn't come home.
It wasn't "bad" but it shook me, because here was this person who acted and looked like an adult but was only just a kid.

I had a first date that lasted several hours but I knew I should have left after the first five minutes. We were seated and almost immediately she yells across the restaurant to a waiter for something. Then she tells me you have to treat waiters like that to get respect; show them they need to pay attention to you. I was flabbergasted.

I didn't know what to say. A friend set it up so I didn't want to walk out on her. I should have.

We managed to order and of course she was rude to everyone that served us. Every time someone came to the table it was a different staff member. Nobody wanted to deal with her. Eventualy only the manager served us himself.

I don't usually drink. If anything just one. I knew there would be no second date and I wanted to forget this evening, so I had many more than one.

Since they rightfully didn't want to serve us, it took forever to get our food or anything else she needed after that. In all we were there at least two hours.

I went to to use the restroom. When I came back she was gone and the table was completely clear with the bill on the table. Good, I was rid of her. I put down my credit card and sat down to wait for them to process it.

When they cleared the table they wanted it with something that I reacted to. My eyes were watering and turned red.

Then my date came out of the lady's room. She's hasn't ditched me. Shoot.

She sits down and sees I look like I'm crying. She obviously doesn't know it's from the chemicals. She asked why.

Being a bit drunk at this point, i looked at her real serious, tears streaming down my face, and I said "I had such a good time, I'm overcome."

I paid the bill, included a $100 tip, and when I got home wrote a long apology letter to the manager. My friend that set it up got an earful later.

You didn't even tell her off in the end, wrote an apology-letter to the manager, and left a $100 dollar tip. *applaud*

First date, nice restaurant.
Enjoyed a lovely meal and even though we didn't hit off completely, we had fun. Plenty of good food and drink. Then it was time to pay. He only had about £20 on him and his card was declined! Totally embarrassing and we never had a second date.

'He' was me. 'She' hadn't brought any money with her so I went back the next day and paid. There had been some sort of problem with my account but 'awks' doesn't really cover it.

It was the early days of chatting apps. I met someone on mxit (pronounced mix it). We went for a coffee, made small talk, figured out we both liked clubbing, so decided to go out together to a club nearby. She proceeded to get so drunk she couldn't drive home. Ended up taking her to her place, and had to take a taxi back to the club to get my car and go home alone.

Got a bunch of angry messages the next morning why I didn't come back to her place and cleaned out her puke from her car. So I just 'noped' her.
