Mine was a tie. My old 6th/7th grade band teacher was amazing, he taught me how to play my instrument over a computer and I'm still doing it years later. He also was funny and genuinely cared for his students, he gave us fun music to play for our concerts, and always was there to help if a student was having any sort of hard time. He also gave out little mini rubber ducks for participating in solo assignments, you could do it over laptop if you wanted, but you got a duck for doing it in class.
However, my 8th grade band teacher (the first one retired) was also good. She taught me almost all of the more advanced things I know, and was super understanding about the issues of being a girl playing my instrument, and always paired me and the other girl in the brass together for assignments because we were chill with each other. She also cared for us a lot, and would let you take exams alone, in class, or online, and you could come to her to practice after school alone for exams/concerts/auditions. Even though she wasn't as energetic/student focused as the other teacher, she was GOOD at what she did, and was still focused on making sure we were okay and not burnt out/panicking over our work.
My favourite in primary school had cool purple and red hair, taught us yoga and could do a headstand and when we had to write an instructional piece, had a fossilised piranha on her shelf, and brought in a tent and we had to go in groups to set it up (without instructions) then write what we did.
In high school, I had three who were equally cool. My year 8 and 12 coordinator, science teacher and food tech teacher was lovely and she often talked about her farm, especially her ducks. My psychology teacher was great, gave us lots of leniency on tests and let those of us she knew did all our work, talk through class. She also, with the previous teacher, came to my brother's funeral. Lastly my legal studies teacher was so funny and cool to hang out with. He brought so much joy to our classes and one time gave us a fake test sheet before our actual test, with little in jokes in it.
