A lot of us have stories to tell when it comes to pets, but not all of them are wholesome. Pets can be destructive, and the chaos they cause can make for a good laugh.

So this wasn't a pet which makes it so much worse. My roommate signed up to be a temporary home for support dogs in training who would be working with special needs children. This one dog was a hellian. No house names at all. I am a dog trainer so everything about this dog was driving me insane but I tried very hard not to overstep.

Now when i say hellian... i mean devil spawn, like my roommate is mid yelling at the dog for grabbing his food and she starts chewing the chair mid-reprimand. It was not an anxiety thing it anything like that-- like full on defiance.

Not my circus, not my monkeys.

I come home and he sheepishly tells me that she found something of mine and pulls out what used to be large jangly artisan made turquoise and topaz earrings that my late great grandmother got me-- mangled and missing stones. He laughed and was like 'yeah she was playing with something, sorry about that'...literally my favorite earrings too expensive to repair and so sentimental that they are truly irreplaceable. Also... they were in a room on a different level of the house that the dog was not allowed at so she was probably gone for a while.

Infuriated doesn't begin to cover it and it has been two years. He's never offered to pay to fix them or even look into it. Turquoise isn't a stone you can get here readily-- like... I don't even know where to begin with repairs and honestly I shouldn't have to-- the amount of destruction done in one week by that dog was insane but... because all common rooms are furnished by me-- it was all my brand new furniture.

I've never been so glad to see a dog out of my house.

Our floors. My dog was very old and would often poop or pee on our floors. One time, he woke up my father with a coughing sound. Thinking he was going to throw up, my father got up and hustled the dog towards the door. Half-way down the hallway, our dog proceeded to c**p, p**s, and vomit all at the same time. My dad slipped in it and slid several feet down the hallway. I was awoken by the sound of my dad cleaning the floors and cursing our dog. The dog was fine, my dad was not.

Our first (late and great) English Bulldog was scared of a truck once while on a walk with my wife.
Ran the other way and pulled on the leash. Wife fell, broke her knee (bone from the knee chipped off) and lost a diamond ring I gave her during her fall. The knee is 100% fine now. The ring was never found - even though I looked for it several times.

We never had hard feeling towards our Bulldog. Wasn't her fault. She got scared. We love her - but she's gone now. We miss her dearly. Even typing this is tearing up my eyes...
