In South Africa, there exists the concept of "Load Shedding" where the government switches off your electricity for you, on a daily basis, to alleviate the strain for the service provider... We have tjop & dop (Barbeque & Beer)...Biltong is a delicacy...and more...

One of the biggest things is that yes we have some of the most deadliest creatures in Australia, the fact of the matter is being killed by one is not common. The most injuries and deaths are caused by horses and farm animals and then bees and wasps. So no need to be afraid of our amazing country, we have so much to offer.

Another thing is we Aussies like to abbreviate anything we can lol. Some examples are: Arvo - afternoon, Cuppa - cup of tea or coffee, choccy bikkie - chocolate biscuit, Servo - petrol station, Petty - petrol, Bottle-o - bottle shop (liquor store), Maccas - McDonalds, Kafers - KFC, AC/DC - AccaDacca, footy - football, Coppa - police officer, Ambo - ambulance, Firey - Firefighter, Tradie - tradesman, Postie - postman, garbo - garbage collector, Chrissie Prezzie - Christmas present. Just to name a few.

And lastly we also know how to eat vegemite properly. When trying it for the first time do NOT spread it like you would spread peanut butter. And definitely do NOT eat it off a spoon. Toast some bread to your liking, add some butter and do a very thin scraping of vegemite. Check google for picture instructions. No wonder why so many people hate vegemite, they put too much on.

In Lithuania, we eat beetroot salty instead of sweet (it's used in traditional soups, etc.)

I don’t know what Australian tinned beetroot is considered as, because it has salt and sugar in the liquid. It has a kind of tangy taste and is mostly used on burgers and in salads.

We don’t eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but peanut butter and jam sandwiches are popular. Yummy.

Never even seen one in real life. I'd be too scared to use it.
