Celebrate that there’s finally a planet with intelligent life on it.

Yes. Those that exceed humans' brain performance, usually, treat humans the way humans treat other animals they consider less intelligent. Now, if they also like how our flesh tastes, and adopt human ways of debate and reason, they might conclude being entitled to be left alone about their "dietary choices". Rightfully so.

Leave it alone. We should fix our planet before messing with someone else's.

Look at it, acknowledge it's presence, and don't do anything.

I guess if we really can't help ourselves we can take some pictures.

Learn from it. Without them knowing, if possible. If they're truly intelligent, not just by human standards, because they're low - even humans are considered intelligent sometimes, and you see where that got us everywhere around us - we haven't even overcome greed yet, but rather have professionalized it, and pamper those executing it professionally, while we make EVERY job that aims at common good not only miserable, but ingrained in people that asking a decent wage while doing something that has a positive net outcome is somehow wrong, while becoming rich enough to plate your äss in gold by doing harmful things on largest scales is considered a given. We suck big time. We should either ask for advice, or hide, depending on how compassionate they are. Export our ways? No. That didn't even work any good on earth, the very least we gotta learn from that mistake is to not blow it to previously unknown proportions...
