His brother said get him something practical, because he's a practical person, but that feels wrong because I feel like I'm the only person who sees his non-practical, loverboy side and I want to encourage it.

The only issue is, what are cute things that men like? What is something sentimental but also that he would appreciate and actually use? All ideas are welcome. He's not really a food person (unlike me) and he doesn't follow any fandoms and he doesn't have a pet...that pretty much covers everything I know in life, haha.

"Victorinox" Pocket knife maybe - classic. Depending on budget maybe the "Work Champ XL", "Swiss Champ XXL", "Handyman" oder "Cyber Tool L". You could get it engraved as well.

Lots of endless options, depending on likes and hobbies:

A lamp of some sort. Is functional and some of them have really cool and unique designs. I recently got a lamp that looks like the moon to gift someone, and they're pretty happy with it.

If he has any hobbies it would be nice to get him some of those. If not, it's never too late to start one!

It could be like an artsy thing, journals, a camera, Legos, etc.

Maybe he'll discover a new hobby, and if not, he'll still have fun! :)

A gift basket filled with his favorite snack or dessert, beer or coffee, a book he might like, maybe cookies you've baked, tickets to something fun, a handwritten note, etc. Good luck!
