There are millions of TV shows and movies out there. Some actually slap. Others make me want to slap someone. A majority of them are overrated- but which ones?

I feel the hate coming but Friends. I honestly can't find it funny, no matter how many times I give it a shot. Maybe it's the laughing sounds, it kills my vibe
I think if you were a rich white thirty-something living in New York in the 90s but not having to go to work ever, and your ex wife left you for another woman, it would speak to you. I didn't really like it either.
Reality TV
I'll be controversial here- Stranger Things. I just don't get why people like it. Creepy demon things? Teenage cast with bad haircuts? D&D? (Just kidding. I respect D&D. The kid with the bowl cut I do not.) The only redeemable character is Winona Ryder's. I mean, who doesn't like Winona Ryder?
I liked Jim Hopper a lot in the one season I watched because he looked a lot like an uncle who had passed away.
Avatar. People just watch it for the effects, and blue people. The story is awful
Visually, it's quite stunning. The plot holes are big enough to fly that moon planet through though.
Harry Potter.
Idk what the best one is (recommendations anyone?) but I couldn't make it through the books so I tried the movies. Just as boring. Harry has no charm or character arc or anything.
Ron and Hermione are cute though.
For me,the story started good but turned into some emo stuff which I didn't like.
Wednesday in my opinion. It just doesn't have the right feel for the Addams Family to me.
To each their own, I enjoyed it. Not mind blowing, but it was fun.
Seinfeld. I just thought it more stupid than comical. I don't even know if I spelled it right.
No hate but marvel. I liked it until it kept stuff simple. I'm not interested in seeing hundred versions of same villian(Kang), nor I'm interested in so many characters which have way too similar character arcs.
Also, why is marvel clearly replacing each of the og character?
And what the hell happened after Endgame?
Only Shang Chi turned out to be a good movie, rest were too boring. Similar for Disney plus shows of marvel. Only Lkoi was good. Moon knight had too much potential but they didn't use it.
Now marvel feels like disappointment.
Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way! I loved the simpler stuff, especially as someone who got on the bandwagon late. I have seen maybe 10 movies and I still have no scudding clue what is going on in the new ones. I'm just going to keep watching because of Sam. I also kinda look forward to seeing where they go with Kate Bishop.
Indiana Jones.
The movies don't have very 'cool' moments and mostly very high pressure and gore. Not to mention most of it isn't even in temples or anything like most people talk about.
The Godfather. It's so long and boring 😮💨
Also Star Wars. I'm talking about the original. It's an alright movie, but not worth the hype. Maybe that's because I'm a trekkie.
The Simpsons - it was good for about five or six seasons, but now I think that Fox keeps it on the air because they (in their eyes) can't come up with anything better to fill the slot...
So many. Anything by Oliver Stone or Quentin Tarantino. Citizen Kane, I know I'm supposed to think it's the greatest thing in the history of things, but it's really not very good. I love old movies, but not that one. Gone with the Wind, see Citizen Kane comment. Movies starring Kevin Costner. You could reshoot those with a wooden board in his place, and nobody would notice. They guy's emotional range goes from barely aware of his surroundings, to totally unaware of his surroundings. Most TV shows that go beyond three seasons. There are exceptions (The Expanse for instance), but usually by season four the show runners are out of ideas. The entire Star Wars franchise. It's not amazing, it's not good, it's just okay. Even Kevin Costner occasionally makes a good movie (in spite of his terrible acting), but there aren't any really good Star Wars movies. And baby Yoda is cute, but not enough to get me to watch more than three episodes of that show.
Please note, if you love any of these things, this is just my opinion. And really, who the fúck am I. Please enjoy your Kevin Costner starring in a remake of Citizen Kane set in the Star Wars universe directed by Quinton Tarantino. All that matters is you like it. I'll stay home.
Jurassic Park 3, it was terrible, I got bored watching it and I wanted to turn that damn movie off.
Well it's a matter of taste. To each their own. But I never found "Friends" either interesting or funny. Same goes for "Seinfeld".
"Stranger Things" I only watched for one season. I like David Harbour as an actor and also in this show. Even though I was born in the 70s and grew up in the 80s, this 80s hommage didn't appeal to me.
Parks and Rec. I used to say that Ron Swanson was my spirit animal, but the further you get in the series the more he just becomes a mockery of Libertarianism.
Everything Everywhere All At Once. I’m 46 and have walked out of only 3 movies in my life and this is one them.
Oh no. This movie was so good. Definitely best movie of the year. The only movie i ever walked out of was Kill Bill. I did fall asleep through one of the new Star Wars monies though.
Gilmore Girls. Both Lorelei and Rory are completely unlikable, and annoying and I still can’t figure out why it lasted as long as it did and shows like Firefly get the boot mid way through their only season.
Naruto. Naruto's an annoying child. Sakura's a bully and a brat. Sasuke's a total jerk. And there's sooo much filler you lose track of the actual storyline. I get that it was so that the anime didn't pass the manga, but the entire last half of the original series felt like filler to me with only a little main plotline sprinkled in.
