For my first post ever on Bored Panda, I wanted to do my own Ask Pandas!

The strangest recurring dream I have had was when I was really young, like 3 or 4. I would have this dream where a monster comes into my room and I have to hide under the blankets and pillows to stay safe. It always ended with the monster exiting the room and saying he would find me next time.

So, what is your story?

#1

In the dream i was 5 or 6 and I was being chased by a bobble head justin trudeau while I was chasing bowser.

I keep going back to a freaky dream version of my college, usually the dorm. I'm returning to school from winter break (between semesters) to find that the school had thrown away all my stuff and other people are living in my room. Either that, or I'm trying to access my campus mailbox and can't get in it. (I did finish college.)

Other recurring dreams: I lose my teeth; I'm topless (not totally naked, just naked from the waist up) in public; I'm too short to reach basic things, like my kitchen counters or stuff at the store; I just jump and start flying through familiar places like it ain't no thing; I come up with pretty great music that I can never remember upon waking.

It isn't recurring, but I have these 3 kittens that show up repeatedly in dreams where I can smell my surroundings. They also inexplicably show up when my dream takes place in a dark mansion. I keep telling people its a sign that if I get three cats by those names I will get a mansion also.

Ok, I have a bit of a long one-

So I'm this teenage girl with purple hair pulled back into a ponytail and white skin (I'm not white). I'm with my 2 guy friends, one is a very nerdy scientist-looking kid and the other is this gothic boy. The nerd had this curly orange hair and freckles with a lab coat on. The goth guy was wearing a Sid from Toy Story style skull tee, with blue jeans and a black "cool guy" beanie. A minotaur had invaded the city that we lived in, and he had this army of creepy looking bug people. They had bony bodies, 4 arms and 2 legs, pale gray clammy skin and huge fly-like eyes. They me and my friends to the edge of our city, which led out to an ocean (so we had an island city?). We took took 3 seperate canoes (instead of sharing one, lol) and rowed passed this huge deserted island that was pretty much a giant rock sticking out of the water. Then we went passed this big, beautiful island with a waterfall and tropical birds flying around and just overgrowth everywhere. I have no idea why we didn't decide to stop at that island. Then we came to this big flat grassy island. And I mean FLAT. It was a perfectly level island, with no rocks or trees to ruin the flatness. THere was suddenly a big smiling sun (that didn't blind us to look at) and a few buildings on the island, like a village. We pitched our canoes and walked onto the flat, pale green grass. All of a sudden, these 3 people ran up to us exclaiming "Welcome, welcome!". A man stood up and actually talked to us. "We were waiting for you!" he said. He gave us a little tour of the island, and showed us a hotel where we could stay. It literally had 3 rooms. I took the top floor room. He resumed the tour and took us to the edge of the island, where the grass faded to this crystal clear glass. tHere were 6 unneatly stacked glass boxes that acted as cages for these weird Pac Man ghost looking thinks. There were 2 guards guarding the boxes, making sure no one breaks them and sets the creatures free (pretty dumb idea, considering these cages are glass). The touring man told us that these were forbidden boxes, and that me and my friends shouldn't try to break them. We took one step onto the glass floor to get a closer look at the creatures, and somehow those delicate steps cracked the glass floor epicly, and broke the boxes containing the strange colorful creatures. They were frozen for a split seconds, realizing that they were free. Then, 3 of them started chasing me and friends, while the others were fighting with the guards and the man that was touring us. Some of them ran (more like floated) into the village to chase the townspeople. I lost track of where my friends went, but I ran into the hotel, up the stairs to my room, and slammed the door behind me. I locked the door and ran over to the window. I knew I didn't have much time, since the creature was right on my tail and banging on the door, breaking it by the second. I broke the window, braced myself, and jumped out right as the ghost thingy managed to break the door down. Luckily my friends were right outside my window (how coincidental) to catch me. We just kinda ditched the people on the island and climbed back into our canoes, rowing back passed the other islands and onto our city island. We were just ready to fight off those bug people. Eventually, we fought through most of them and defeated the minotaur general, saving the whole town and blah blah blah. Yeah, I've had this dream a max of 4 times in a complete row. But whenever I do have this dream multiple times, it repeats in the E X A C T same way every single time, lol. So yeah, thanks for reading my ridiculously long dream description.

I started to have this strange dream short after I got married (12 years ago, when I was 29). I would jump in a swimming pool, with clear water, placed in middle of an open field. When I emerge from the water, I see the water turned murky and is full of big black dead fish, floating on their backs. I struggle to swim through them to get out of the pool... That's it. nothing happened tho, but it freaks me out every time. Thinking of that I just realized, I haven't dreamed it for a while....

Sometimes I dream I am in a science fiction movie. But for some reason, sushi is always tied into story. I also have a lot of dreams where I am an invisible and nobody can see me. The dream imagines myself as a lonely spirit walking the halls of a house. Another dream that I've been dreaming frequently is the dream of becoming a monster or gaining superpowers.

"Don't worry, Caterpillars don't grow that big".
Then the caterpillar came into our kitchen and sat right next to me. It didn't do anything menacing, but I was about five, and I was pretty freaked out.

When I was around 6 years old I used to dream about a woman in a long white, hooded fur coat. When I got close to her she would turn around and her face was a bloody, scraped up mess. I hated that dream so much, I knew what was going to happen every time. Still shakes me up now, at 53.

So this is a little crazy but here we go:

    First time: (around November 2019)
I hear a voice calling me. I feel a pull that I know to the core of my soul I must follow. So I go open my bedroom door and step out. Suddenly I’m in the middle of the street in front of my house. It’s in the middle of the night and the only lights on are the streetlights. There are a total of four streetlights at different but equal parts going from the main corner to the end of the street. Under each light is a man wearing a full suit and top hat. The man closet to me calls me again but this time it’s not my name but another. “Paca” I turn to the left and see another version of me but in ancient Egyptian royal clothing walking towards the man. My other self stops right in front of him, my hand sliding up his chest cupping his cheek. He leans down like he’s going to whisper something but I can hear him as if he was right next to me. He says “ People are going to die, sickness is always first when the time runs out” tons of emotion comes over me to the point where I fall on my knees. Grief, hatred, pain, and loss festering in my souls like locusts. The man is in front of me, my other self gone, he helps me up and says that I must be ready. I must be ready for the sick.

Second time: (sometime in April 2020)

The dream starts out the same way it did before except this time there is no second me. The first man is gone and under his streetlight is a single locust. I walk to the next streetlight and he says “paca come to me” I walk to him like a moth to a flame. He smiles at me and I look into his eyes and see chaos. He nods like he understands what I’m looking at. He says “to divide is to cause chaos in every way possible. Chaos is beauty wrapped in pain. Are you ready for pain paca? Can you take my type of chaos?” He laughs and then he screams my name “PACA!” It echoes like we are in a hallway and I fall into a dark mental space and all I hear are chants, angry yells and whispers. It’s to much so I put my hands up to my ears and scream. The man comes into my line of vision and says “don’t hide from the pain, embrace it! You can take it all paca! TAKE IT ALL!!” then it settles the chaos and it feels as if I’m in the eye of the storm ready to come. Then I wake up.

    Third time: (Last Night)

Same as the last two I’m in the street in chaos’s streetlight is a moth. This on is the shortest dream so far but by far the worst pain I’ve ever felt. This man was slightly smaller than the last two but her still towered over me. He was smoking a cigarette and I got the feeling that he was the jokester out of the group. He called out my name again “paca” then he blew smoke in my face and laughed as I tried to swat it away. Although he seemed more laid back and less serious he still had a dangerous energy around him. He looked at me and said this “ Greed is everything to our people, greed and jealousy is what our people feel in everyday life. Be ready for it my sweet paca. Be ready for greed, be ready for envy. Be ready for pain.” My feet felt as though they were on fire, then they were green flames engulfed my body. I could feel everything, everyone’s greed, their envy. “Kill me! Kill me!” I screamed as this pain coursed through every cell of my body. He screamed at me to hold on and to just take the pain. It finally ended and I felt winded. He pushed my hair back and said I did a good job. “Envy is coming paca be ready” then I woke up.

I'm not sure if you understand what it means but I think I can tell you. the first dream in basically predicting the covid outbreak so that's just amazing. I mean, "be ready for the sickness"? come on now. the second one is implying that the world will be in chaos and many will be in pain. number 3 is saying since all of the sickness and chaos is going on many will also be greedy. just like how all stores are just about empty. I cant believe you predicted this in November last year!

I start to feel really calm and light and when I close my eyes and just stay there cuddled up with the person, I wake up staring at the ceiling wrapped up in all my blankets. I have a speaker and drink every once in a while, I’m with my family and I walk into like a museum, and the museum director take my family like your back room where they all keep their stuff. Then my family disappears and I’m in a hallway by myself. Sometimes the hallway is different and last time I had a dream I went to the bathroom and one of the rooms, I think it was like a hotel room. And by the end of the dream I walk out of the door like a clear glass store and I’m in a different time period and my family’s there. This dream usually occurs when I am having a difficult time in my life

I have had many recurring dreams but one stands out above all others. I had the dream dozens of times. It's not very clear but it's about trains and train tracks. If the train was too big or small for the tracks it was absolutely horrifying for some reason(I mean HORRIFYING to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night and sometimes sweating but when I wake up I just feel stupid for being scared of such a weird thing). I was not on the train but hovering above the trains. I saw everything in darkish colors like black, gray, and brown. I recently stopped having them. I don't have OCD or any medical problems(that I am aware of), I'm was not sick or anything. This made me feel a lot better knowing there are other people that have weird recurring dreams.

I haven't had recurring dreams, as much as recurring places. One of the most common places is this huge Barnes and Noble combined with Kroger. I've had dreams about food, books, friends, and many other weird things IN THE SAME PLACE. There is actually one recurring dream I had, but first some background. I hate P.E. My gym teacher was horrible they made me walk laps when my knee hurt, turns out it was limes disease so HA. In the dream, It starts one of two ways, one with me strapped to the Basketball net. The other way I would find my self in this white room. everything was white. There were these gaping holes in the ground that probably went to the underworld with swinging platforms above them. I would be looking around and then suddenly there would be this lady, strict looking. She would command me to jump across the swinging platforms, I would try, and then just as I was about to fall into the abyss, I would wake up. I had this dream so many times, I cant even count them all. I once had a dream where I was being hunted by Vikings (I love reading Norse Myths) and I was in the closet in my bedroom. MY heart was thumping really loud and I could hear them outside of my door. I heard them talking and then they stopped and slowly turned towards me... Just as they opened the door to the closet I would wake up.
Those were all old reoccurring dreams, lately, my dreams have been getting more vivid. The only way I can tell it is a dream is that my vision sorta fades in and out. It's actually really frustrating, yet sometimes I still think the dream is real.
Ugh, sorry that was long, I guess I had a lot to say.

I'm walking down this never-ending boardwalk, and it's like my vision is switching from walking down the boardwalk to looking at myself walking from above. Then, suddenly this giant fish the color of sewer water with a human face jumps out of the water, and it sails over me. Then more of them jump, until it creates a literal canopy of jumping humanfish. I just keep walking, and sooner or later, the dream ends. And for some reason, the human face is always Jack Black. Imagine.

Maybe this one I had when I was about 10 years old.
There would be this deer, but it had wings, and "Magical powers" it gave off through its antlers. Whenever it did that, the antlers would glow a bright blue-ish colour.
There would be these people from the government or something that would chase and try to trap/kill it for some reason.
It would keep changing subtly though, sometimes the deer would be in a cave talking to something (yes it could speak), sometimes it would be flying.
I wouldn't be the deer, but rather something like a bird or something that wouldn't interact with the deer but could watch it.

Not gonna lie, there's a small part of me that wonders if this is something I'm going to have to survive and my brain is prepping me. That, or I watch too many dystopian movies. When I was about 3-5 I had this one dream of an empty white subway station, except it looked more like a grand ballroom with an area for a subway to roll in. There were white columns on the left and right and my family (Mom, dad, sister) all had their luggage and were preparing to leave. I was at least 30 metres away from them, but I was stuck and I couldn't move. I remember it was quiet. It was just us there. Then a train came rolling into place quietly. I watched as they looked at me all at once, and then the doors slid open and they stepped inside. I remember them watching me as the train left.

I always crawled into bed with my dad after the dream. It wasn't exactly a nightmare, but I was afraid.

I had this dream almost constantly after I first moved from a small little village to a bigger city. I still have it every once in a while.
I'm back in my old village on my way home from school. I walk through the village, make my way to the bus stop and look at the sign to see how long I'll have to wait.
That's when I realize that I don't live here anymore. I live in a city, more than 250 miles away from this bus stop, and I have no idea how to get there.
After that, it varies. Sometimes I go to the train station to catch the next train to my new and current home. Sometimes I go to the place where I used to live and ask my former housemate for help. Sometimes I just sit down at the bus stop and wait for a bus that never comes.

I used to have dreams about tornados & the ending was typically me looking out over a landscape and seeing one or multiple tornados in the distance
    but now
I'll dream about moving, more accurately, realizing I'm moving the next day & I'm unprepared either by not having started yet or started but running out of time, or not having enough boxes, bags or space in a truck.
I remember one, my mother drove me to a new place, even though I didn't want to move, all my stuff was already there in boxes, there was no power in the place & I couldn't find any lights.

I had the repeated tornado dream. I finally figured out that the closer or more in number the tornados were to me, the more stress that I was having in my life at the time. The looming tornados represented how overwhelmed that I was feeling, and the one dream tornado that ever came so close to me as to sweep me up into the dark sky I had the week before my fiancée suddenly and unexpectedly died.

Not exactly a reoccurring dream as much as it's a reoccurring place. It's a large house with lots of dark wood. I am of undetermined age but definitely a child as I'm looking up at everyone. My family is all dark-haired with blue eyes. (IRL I'm a blonde with hazel eyes) I have three older brothers, and the dreams are as unremarkable as they could possibly be. Literally, just 'slice of life' things like eating a meal or playing in the yard. Something you might see if you were walking and just glanced into the window of a random house.

I'm just at home. Nothing exciting ever happens, I'm just there, being me. I've had this dream three or four times a year for most of my adult life and it feels like slipping into that pair of sneakers that's broken in just right. Like I have an alternate life I'm living out one dream at a time.

You know that rumor about how if you fall in a dream and hit the ground, you'll die? I've known that was a lie for a long time...

I used to have a recurring dream of falling. I think it was in the Grand Canyon, or some other such place, falling fast down the cliffs. This next part happened without pain: I would hit the rocks below. I could *hear* my bones break, and feel the ends grind. I felt tendons snap and blood vessels burst between rock and bone.

And then the dream would start over. I usually hit the ground around 4-5 times before waking.

When I was around 6 years old I used to dream about a woman in a long white, hooded fur coat. When I got close to her she would turn around and her face was a bloody, scraped up mess. I hated that dream so much, I knew what was going to happen every time. Still shakes me up now, at 53.

I also often dream that I am in my grandparents beach house at victor harbor, and there is just huge waves coming up to the balcony, I never die, no one does, I just hide and hold my breath.

I was just eight years old, when I had the dream that me and my grandma were being followed by these mossy creatures. One of them pulled my grandma into a sewer, and they turned towards me. One of them that was wearing a baseball hat grabbed me and I tried to get off him. His skin was super sticky and after a while, he flung me into the sky and that's when I woke up. (note: it might have not gone exactly this way but it was something like that)

So, I had a dream about being trapped in a dream (I know confusing) and a wizard put me in there because I stole some gum. Anyways, the only building was a market, the rest was meatal. Before I walked in a baby told me something like "Come w/ me if u want to live" And I remember saying something like "dude, you're a baby!" and he told me something about how he knows this place really well so I did come with him into the market. I started to miss my normal life, but the world faded away, so the aby said goodby, and I woke up in my bed (in the dream) AND THEN I woke up irl.

Honestly my dreams are really weird but no recurring dreams though. but I don't care and I wanna share some anyway. their usually short probably because I forget most of it but not all of it so ill share like 2 or 3. yeah their THAT short, lol.

No.1 this is a funny but longer one, ok so it starts at a school library and it is like a sleepover thing with students. the teachers are using a projector to put up some entertainment, something about cute dogs and cats or something. at the time i had an enemy, his name was Tristan and he was always really rude and mean. just my luck, he was there too. and all of a sudden we (me and Tristan) started sword-dueling with real swords. it wasn't very long before I won the duel and I woke up.

    2. At the time I played a lot of the old sonic the hedgehog games, sonic the hedgehog and its sequel. so I started having dreams about it. so what I remember is very brief but it starts in the old sonic star light zone level (I really liked that one) and it also included knuckles. the only other thing I remember was knuckles running off the edge and doing his gliding thingy he does with no ground underneath him so he was just gliding in space with that calm star light zone music playing as well. then I think I woke up.

    3. I watch a show called king of the hill a lot so sometimes I have a dream watching that, but the show is a little weird and distorted-ish. like this one it had just turned dawn and I was watching the show but like a fan made version. it was called king of the cinderblock and if you know the show you know in the beginning it shows bill, hank, dale and boomhaur with hank opening his beer at the beginning. but instead it showed joseph and Peggy and Peggy had like a cinderblock glued to her hands slowly putting it in josephs, then they face the screen. also to note the background was all tinted red and the whole thing was reds and oranges. so weird right? please tell me what these dreams mean if you can because they make no sense at all.

So I would start with the tinker bell main characters just flying in a very flat open field with green grass at the bottom. then suddenly two eggs that kind of looked like mr potato head but as an egg show up. and then they summon a large wall of thorns to trap the fairies and then the thorns grow and start to suffocate them. Then I always woke up, it was pretty weird.

    This might be pretty long

I am a player/ slave/ gladiator in a modern style of the Roman gladiator fights, but instead of fighting we play basketball, one on one until the time is up. I am playing against a boy, and we are an even. I decide to stop playing in a sort of rebellion against my captures. the boy stops to, and we are ushered off the court. I go outside through a back door, to a drinking fountain. while I’m drinking, My master asks me if I’m going to escape. I say no. when I’m done with the water I walk away from the stadium, making my escape. I have a sort of apron-coat thingy Majjicy. I come to a stop at a man with seven plates of chicken. he hands me one. other people, all homeless, join. the man is kind. suddenly people looking for me walk past. I hide my face with the apron- coat. some time after, my phone ,on the ground, has a small candle-like flame on the screen. I press down on the flame and it goes out, but re-appears somewhere else on the screen. this repeats until the entire phone catches fire. I ask them man to help me put out the flames we try to smother the fire. we fail and the fire melts my phone. I walk away, heading towards a sort of path split behind two buildings on a hill. I go to the left, walking past a clump of trees separating the path from the building. soon I get to the corner of the building but my seven year old little sister is on the path ahead of me. I sneak closer. a deer walks toward her, Before collapsing in front of her. it’s legs are sticking up. the legs look like broken sticks, splinters sticking out. my sister walks past it, and I turned around heading towards the clump of trees. my last thought before the dream ends is that I can sleep amongst the trees.
sorry about the bad writing and long post.

Sometimes, when I read a really good book series, I imagine what happens next, but like, years later in the series. I dream about that a lot. I am still in the process of imagining the future of the Framed! series. Just yesterday I had a dream that I was imagining a bunch of stuff of it, but I didn't realize it. It was just like a movie in my head. Anyways, fast forward to halfway through and I hear myself thinking "Should I bring them back?" because I killed off some characters and I thought of them just faking their deaths. So yeah, it was a weird dream and I wrote it all down. I thought of typing it here but it was WAY too long.

I had this dream frequently when I was in my early teens. They were usually
one of two versions, but both always started the same way.

I’m 10 or 11. I come home at dusk after a full day of playing outside......

Version 1: I find the door to our apartment locked. After knocking for what seems like forever, I’m met at the door by a complete stranger, usually a man.
I ask where are my Mom and Dad, and he says he doesn’t know me or what
I’m talking about and that I need to go home. I start crying and he closes the door in my face. My crying wakes me.

Version 2: I open the door to our apartment to find it dark and completely empty. I run inside and run to the kitchen, looking for my Mom. The room
is dark and completely empty. I call for my Dad, then my Mom as I start to
run to every room in the apartment. All of the rooms are dark and completely
empty. I realize that I’m feeling really scared now and I start to panic. I don’t
know what to do. I finally run out of our apartment and across the hall to our
neighbors and knock on the door. The Mom that lives there answers the door.
As soon as she sees me, she tells me that my parents moved out late this morning and says they must’ve forgot about me. I start crying and she closes the door in my face. My crying wakes me.

    I woke up crying once
Because I had a horrible dream, something like Stranger Things mixed with The Giver, as a setting, and I was with my entire 5th-grade class. Until these other kids came along, plunging us into starvation. But we ended up starving together. We were flying somewhere, but we were being dragged by the wind, inside tons of massive blankets. Then we crashed and all got back into the place. Then I rushed to hug one of my friends. (In real life, her dog died.) Her, for some reason, and I cried a LOT. Then we got put into columns based on the first letter of our name. I was trying hard to find my best friend, cuz I was super worried about her, and I found her in the P column when she should be in the L. Her name? was Passionate. Why? I don't know. She was lying on her side, and she told me that she had to go. She showed me this magical weird vision thing, of her being taken away by guards. That's when I woke up, crying, a ton. My pillow was wet, with tears. Here is what that means:
When you stumble upon a dream about someone important to you being taken away, you are worried that the time is near to say goodbye to each other. ... Dreaming about taking away things that are significant to your loved ones means that you are experiencing jealousy.
here is what hugging my other friend meant:
Hugging in dreams is a very common occurrence. ... Dreams of hugging someone, usually symbolize someone or something you are embracing with joy. Maybe you feel sympathy towards someone or something, or feel close to something or someone. Maybe such a dream indicates you have embraced some new ideas or new behavior.
    STRANGE!!

I had a dream a while ago that I was in a creepy, old house. it was daylight and it was hot. I was in fancy clothes for some reason. I walked out of the back door and I saw a creepy, old man. he was walking down the path, I went to hide, behind a rack of tinsel. Tinsel, like the kind you wrap around a Christmas tree. In August. Strange. he came directly to the tinsel and grabbed some. He sniffed the air and said, "a little girl's been in my house. I was freaking out at that point. he left and I took that as an opportunity to run around to the back of the house, to see if I could escape or find someone to help me. Then I saw best friends and some of my other friends, and my 5th-grade literacy teacher. Then a room attached to the house opened up into a beautiful, elegant, ballroom. And there were already people inside them! Then the man told me it was a prank, but I didn't believe him and I ran into the ballroom and told you guys and we escaped. the other people there never came. Somehow it was night. We were in a public place and there was a fountain, with purple, blue, and pink lights. We then found a place to escape.

The dancing plague (or dance epidemic) of 1518 was a case of dancing mania that occurred in Strasbourg, Alsace (now modern-day France), in the Holy Roman Empire in July 1518. Somewhere between 50 and 400 people took to dancing for days.
what if that was in my dream? what if those people had been there for days, dancing, and dancing, and dancing. What if he was about to do that to us?

I had another dream last night and there I was, back in the house. But 2 best friends were there. no one else, just us. We were still dressed in fancy clothes. I took you guys to the same back door, to try and escape. I saw the man. we ran back into the house and my BFF was REALLY freakin out, so I took both of them to hide behind the tinsel. He came in, grabbed the tinsel, sniffed around, and this time he said, "Some little girls have been in my house." IT WAS CREEPY.
he left once more, so we went out the front door, only to find the ENTIRE 5th grade including our teachers, standing there. I remember the only face I could really see was my crush's. On the walls of the house, there were dresses that fit us exactly so we changed right in front of them and under we had our bathing suits on. I had a Maleficent doll and there were fake toy wings for her so I got some of those. I also got some clothes for her and for me. My friends got clothes for themselves. And we kept climbing back up to get more, and at that point, my dream ended.

    WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?!

I’ve had Trump appear in my dreams several times. For context, I am an Australian, so he’s not in the news here as much as over there (though he’s still a controversial hot-topic)

A dream last year involved his wife coming in to his office all Esther-like and saying something along the lines of, “it is my people you are persecuting.” The next week, I see John Oliver explain that the visa she falsely came here on is one of the ones Trump was planning on cracking down on.

Later, I dreamt that I was at Trumps funeral, everyone was morning, but he wasn’t dead. I found him at the bottom of the sea. He said he was drowning, and I said something along the lines of, “so long as you have air in your lungs, you can float.” Later, I discovered that his impeachment fell through.

Even more recently, in my dreams I saw him on the beach, and he came to shake my hand. For some reason, my touch electrocuted him and struck him down, and I said in an oddly God-like voice, “you are going to stay in office, not because you are good or smart or moral, but because you’re going to bring about the signs of the end times.”

For further context, I am NOT a Trump supporter, and I DO NOT believe in apocalyptic end-times. I would not say those things, EVER, in real life. If he wins the next election, I’m going to book myself for a God-damn exorcism.

I'm super late to this party, but when I was very small my older brother and I were traumatized by being abandoned at 18 mo. & 3.5 years and locked in a gas station bathroom. Other things happened of which I have no recollection. We were then adopted by grandparents but our father sometimes visited but never explained why he didn't want us or live with us. My recurring dream was of riding in the back seat of my grandparents' car and the panic of realizing there was no driver as the car hurtled down the highway. I understand now that the dream reflected my terror of having absolutely no control over my circumstances. Yes things got better, and my dreams settled down to 'normal' stuff like being repeatedly kidnapped by ghosts (!)

Well, it doesn't repeat over and over again in dream form, it happens to me in real life. You guys probably think this is a lie, but let me explain before you down vote. For example, this happens to me all the time. I will have a strange dream, something random, and then one object would stand out to me, like a red vintage tool box. Then maybe a week or so after that dream happens, I see that red tool box yet again in my garage. When I do see that one object, I feel like the whole world kinda stops for very short amount of time. I remember every part of that dream for a fraction of a second, then I forget the dream completely. It's insane, but it even happens if I dream that me and my dad are getting bikes out of our garage, and then yet again, the world will stop for like a millisecond and every piece of that dream comes back to me, but then I forget it again.

Then like a week later, that exact thing would happen, but I wouldn't remember the dream, but I would have the slight feeling that that event had happened before, and I had been there. There is a big stone cylinder with a lit up platform that everybody goes on and awkwardly clumsily walks around with derp faces. Then a big fat bee comes and buzzes so loud my ears hurt when i wake up. Thats where it ends but my ears always ring from the buzzing. Super weird, but it happens to me.

I’ve been having recurring dreams since I was 5 or 6 that the house that I lived had a secret basement or underground labyrinth beneath it. In the first dream I had when I was a child, the dream house had a secret compartment within the crawl space that could only be accessed by a door in the basement. Over the decades the dream has morphed and changed and the secret space is always somewhere different—beneath a cement lot, beneath the garage, accessed by a hidden staircase, etc.. It was always about whatever house I lived in at the time until I turned 18, at which point it has always been about the same house. I’ve since lived in 8 different places and have yet to have a dream about where I currently am — always the same house.

Well, I've never quite had a recurring dream...I might've had one before but forgot. So, sometimes in a dream I have there are scenes or characters from another dream. Sometimes I get the references, sometimes I don't.
Oh! Now I remember a recurring dream from when I was about 4 or 5. It usually took place at a carnival, or dark house, whatever. Most of the time what happened was I got lost, was trying to find my mom, or just was sitting there. And it usually ended with my mom, always evil and green eyed (I mean GREEN eyed, like her eyes are literally stars (the scientific ones, not the shape) that are bright green), doing something like laughing evilly, or putting me in a cage. Now it does seem kind of funny, but it CREEPED ME OUT as a kid. Okay, if you've made it this far, you deserve to hear one of the specific dreams I had like this:
I was at some sort of fair/carnival/theme park, and I was like Madeline or something?!? (I'm already laughing) but then I get separated from my mom and I'm crying. Suddenly she comes over WITH HER FRICKIN GREEN EYES and I'm then in a dark room where she's making a potion. That's when I wake up.

I have had this dream since I was 5 years old. Every few years. This dream takes place at a Halloween party at my grandma's house. Kids and their parents come in costumes as you'd expect, and everything seems normal for a few minutes. Suddenly, a strange tune with the melody of the first few seconds of THIS IS HALLOWEEN opening before the monsters start singing. The words are replaced with "Here comes the Prickle-face man, better run, better run as fast as you can" and is played on a loop in the background for the rest of the dream. The first time I had this dream, I looked out of the houses' window to see 3 figures rising slowly from the wheat field around the house. The first was a mummy with a horrifyingly disfigured body and face. The second is a being made of vines and a jack-o-lantern for a head, he had a very horrifying cackle, and the absence of a candle didn't matter, because the inside of his mouth and the hole where his eyes were carved flickered with a ghostly flame. The final and most horrifying figure was a scarecrow with an unsettling drawn-on smile, holding an ax with a very sharp blade. I should know, because I am always beheaded before I wake up. This is a stalker dream, where these 3 figures chase you. You can never escape. no matter where you hide or how fast you run. It doesn't matter. You will always be dead before you wake from the nightmare. I haven't had the dream for 2 years... but I can never escape.

Maybe, if you have enough control of the dream, stop running and face them head-on. Literally face your fears.

I have three. One was where I was in this HUGE Victorian castle and there was this random flood out of no where that swept me to go fight off Ursula from the Little Mermaid. Then the one where I went paragliding with my stepmom at night over this beautiful city. And my favorite is where I can turn into a dragon and fly even though flying takes real physical effort. I have multiple occasions where I wake up sweating and exhausted even though if I Do end up flying in the dream it is super fun. Now I know what it is like to fly as a dragon.

I'm in a plane when I am younger and they are serving bananas. My mom, being the vegetarian that she is, gets 3 for me, my mom, and my little brother. I open and the banana and there is no banana. Cockroaches erupt from the empty peel and eat the plane and everything in it. The end.

I keep having this dream where Shoto Todoroki(My hero Academia), Mickey Mouse, and Hubert von Vestra(Fire emblem 3 houses) are discussing how to bake a cake. Todoroki says that they need to mix dragonfruit with yams and flour, Mickey mouse id just shouting "HOT DOGS!!!" and Hubert is saying to just bake a cake with the blood of his enemies. IDK why the heck I'm having this dream, but it's been 3 days...

Fun fact, if you don't have eggs to put in your cake, blood is a viable substitute as it contains the same proteins needed from the egg. So Hubert is actually pretty close.

When I was young I had a dream where I would fly to the local library and find TinTins that I hadn't read yet. It was a good dream. I was disappointed when I woke and I didn't have the books. :) Plus it was such a handy way to get to the library! I think I even had a cape.

I appear just walking down a gravel road barefoot, and do so for a couple minutes until a couple old ladies give me shoes.

Somehow I get adopted by witches and wizards and they all absolutely hate me, except for one guy, and then they turn us both to cats.

    It was weird.

Well, I kept having this dream when I was around 5 or 6 years old maybe..
Anyway, so what happened was I would go into my kitchen (knowing what was about to happen) and then get jump-scared by the McDonalds clown, and I would just go round and round the counter trying to avoid him until I woke up. But here is the best part.. The last time I ever had that dream it became a little different. So instead of being by myself, I go with my dad and as we are walking in there I tell him about the clown.. And so basically the clown comes up and my dad tells him to leave me alone. And it is so weird because it is like when he said that to the clown, I never had that dream about him again..

Wow, you managed to conquer a primal fear by bringing a totem of power into the dream. (Sorry if that sounds a little Crystal-hippie, but I don't know how to explain it better).

I have weird dream that I am in a large old building with loads of rooms that are close to derelict and in terrible disrepair. The corridors of the rooms are in a distinct 1970's style and they snake around the building, dimly lit with a feeling of dread. Each room as you go in seems to have a story to tell or a reason for its existence but I don't know what and when I enter it I get frustrated as I don't know why I'm there. Some rooms lead onto other rooms or out into an overgrown garden and the others onto a city street. I see people from my past but I can't talk to them even though I can see them talking to each other. The whole dream is just me looking for something but I don't know what. I have this dream a lot. Not exactly the same dream, but just variations of this dream. The building with many rooms, all derelict and the 1970's décor. I don't know why the style is from the 1970s. I was born in 1975 and I don't remember the 1970's at all. I just know what the style was like from watching old TV programmes.

I'm standing next to Judge Dredd, looking down over the valley my house is in. Only now it's a city, in ruins and on fire, under a dark sky. Judge Dredd says to me 'I told you this would happen'. Haven't had that dream for years, but I used to have it a lot, always exactly the same, in my early 20's.

Mine is a little long. So basically I was having a dream that I was building a house. Then a guy came through a portal and told me to go with him. So I did. He told me a plan we were going to be doing. Guess who was doing this. It was a mix of Spider-Man and Batman. He had a Batman mask but he had a spider on the clothes. We had to go through a different portal but their were multiple portals. 3 of them to be exact. Purple, blue, and pink. We went through the blue portal and all we did was grab a computer, he grabbed a bagel, then we left. Then we got married and returned the computer because it was a prank on them.

I have this dream where I’m at a party and it’s late, and I‘m really tired. I found these brick-looking things, that are glowing a soft orange color and have rounded edges. Most importantly, they gave off heat. I built myself a little cave out of them, lay down in some blankets and fell asleep. Very calming, I’m always a bit sad to wake up from it.

When I was little (like 5-8 was when I had this dream) I had a dream where I was in a cave that had no entrance or exit. I was on a rocky platform with a bridge on both sides that led to 2 other platforms, the edge of the platform dropped like 20ft into lava. One of my parents was on one platform and my other parent was on the other. The farthest wall was a face that was melded with the rock. Every time I had that dream the face would tell me that I had to choose to save one of my parents. Every single time I choose one parent my other parent's platform would crumble, and they would scream and fall into the lava.
Not quite like the other stories on here, but I kept having this dream for like once a month for 3-4 years.

I'm alone in our housebut it looks abandoned, like the ceiling is falling off, (it's made of wood) the door to the bedroom I share with my grandmother and sister would be open but there's a big piece of the ceiling blocking the way just enough that I can't get in but I can see the room over it but the light from the window on the opposite wall of the door is too bright so there's just shadows behind a bright light. My mom's room has the door barricaded from the inside and I just can't focus on it. The "front door" is closed so it's dark, the other door is open but it's too bright outside, and I'm on a specific spot everytime. It feel too long and too short at the same time. Sometimes I go to the bathroom and get locked in, the floor is filled with tiny frogs/toads (I have a phobia of frogs), sometimes silhouettes pass by the open door, but I'll be sitting there for who knows how long until I wake up. It's like sleep paralysis but I'm in a dream.

(so, i have been having this dream for years and years, ever since me and my family had to run away from our house. and when we left, we had to leave almost everything behind. i was 7 at the time)

i have this dream where I go to my old house(the one we ran away from) and I go upstairs and the person we ran away from comes after me out of the bedroom, he's always wearing the same thing, no shirt and an infinity scarf and ripped jeans. so I go upstairs and I go into my old toy room and lock the door, I go to the bunk bed with all my old toys on it and look through it all to see what I want to grab and what I need to grab and take with me. i find a blanket that someone made and I take that and a few other things like pictures and lego's and stuff like that. it ends when I start talking to my real dad. the one that was chasing me.

Okay, so up until I was 8 or 9, I would always have this dream where there is this perfect world, and kids playing and butterflies and stuff, I am walking down a path through it, and at the end of the path is a huge, dark furnace robot machine thing. And the whole time there is this creepy voice, saying you can't play with them, don't touch the grass, you can't touch anything or else you will go to the creepy machine, and it gets scarier and scarier, until finally, it's like, you are touching the air, so you will die, and then the dream ends. Also, how do you add an ask pandas post?

This is gonna sound NUTS, so hear me out. I sometimes have dreams where I'm transported through a portal to a place called the Nest, and it's a big floating island with a big tower full of different rooms on it. The tower is spit down the middle to easier navigate the rooms. In the nest you look just like you do irl, but your eyes and hair are a different color, you wear a silky robe-like thing, and your arms can turn into WINGS! Your hair and eyes match the wing colors, which can be anywhere on the visible color spectrum! Mine are pastel cyan with pink tips. Everyone else on the Nest is also someone dreaming about being there, and you're pretty lucid while in there as well. To leave the Nest you just go through a portal in this portal room. I still have dreams about this lil place occasionally, but I've been there, like...at least 10 times? If you have any questions about the Nest or have dreamed of it before please let me know, I'm just as confused as you guys are about this lol

There's a musical tea set that sets the time and summons a boogeyman of sorts, but BoJono, a large, black stray dog protects us. Ol' BoJono will sometimes show up in my other dreams and just kinda hangs out. Once he had a balloon rapped up on his tail, I unraveled it and he left. I keep on having this dream where me and my sister have to babysit two kids from a teal cult. the mom and dad are still there but i never wondered why we were babysitting even though the mom and dad were there. They had a teal car of some sort that looks very high tech and drive us there. They say we have to feed them so i make pancakes. The parents put in teal dye and then give the kids some teal juice. after that we play in the water with fishing rods and cyan helmets. we do this for a long time and then we are called over for supper. We never eat supper but we go on a walk for five minutes and then go to sleep at midnight. We have five hours to sleep but before that we join the cult by getting a teal line tattoo on our forearm. Me and my sister don't get to sleep until four and get yelled at. The mom says that we had to sleep until five for five hours. Then my mom never comes and we become part of the teal cult.

But if I went against the nature of my dream, I would suddenly be in my living room. I had to hide from a horrifying shadow creature that would search for me, and no matter where I hid, it would always find me. Scared the absolute sh*t out of me, and it still does.

Yesterday’s night, it was scary but not to scary. More like a psychotic dream. So first I was apparently in a roblox game and there was like a bar, so there are 3 seats and there is 2 people sitting in one. The middle seat was open and 2 boys were talking, I sit in one and they’re like: “What the hells wrong with you!” One of them said I got scared, next thing I know is that I’m at this place that has a cliff. Oh and btw there are a group of kids that I hate so much!! And they were those kids! So I go there and there practically torturing me!!! One of the girls went and put a spider in my shirt. And she said: “I put a spider in your ear!!” And giggles. So then this guy comes and pushes my off the cliff, buuuuut he fell too :3 so then I’m like “pull me up!!!!” And I'm like scared so bad I’m not even thinking abt the other ppl! So I eventually get up. Then I have this staff kinda thing and I take it and try to hit those psychos. She blocked it and then grabs a HUGE LOG. ABD THEN THROWS IT AT ME! But she missed. Then this girl that I also don’t like let’s call her Emma, she and I are on a scooter to our houses we were going home and it was awkward bc we didn’t talk the whole way and we lived close (we really don’t) anyway… so she’s turns to her house and I turn to mine and i wake up ; - ; needless to say I was abt to rub to my mom and tell her abt my day and call the cops, then I realized it was a dream :/
