I’m saving up for a manga box set. What about you?

I DREAM of becoming an astrophysicist and studying the universe. So for the easier time one, probably a telescope!
The bigger thing to save for is university, preferably MIT!
Earning my college degree a couple classes at a time, and doing it without loans or scholarships, completely out of my own pocket.
Maybe it sounds stupid, but sneakers (and maybe some socks if I can catch a sale) - like I said, it sounds stupid.
With the actual inflation i'm saving up for the next grocery shopping right now.
Goin’ down the shore next month for the first vaca. In decades! Don’t wanna skimp or have to think about $, so we’ve been saving like crazy. Prolly won’t even spend it all, but it’ll be so nice to splurge. We’ve earned it after the last 6 years. Take that, cancer!
Paying off my student loan. Will be fully paid off in July next year unless I manage to pay extra money. But in max. 1 year I'll be debt free!
After that I want to save up to have a good music player (for both cds and tapes) and a grammophone.
And I have begun on a weight loss journey two days ago. I am doing it differently this time and I hope that it will work. ( no counting calories. Learning to love exercise. Have exercise be my goals instead of numbers on the scale. Stop comfort eating. Stop overeating. Cutting down on sugar and light-products....). I will save up to buy new clothes for when i have lost ca 20kgs and again when I have lost 35-40kgs.
Music and clothes for a happier and prettier me. 🤘😎🤘
I'm working a fifty hour work week this entire summer to save up for my residence in university. Years of dreaming about independence and having my own space are finally coming true. I signed the lease with tears in my eyes and every bitter moment at work is worth the bright future ahead of me
College. My dad is emotionally abusive, so I don't expect for him to help me pay for it unless I stay at home after I'm 18, which for the good of my mental health, I'm not doing. Plus, even if he did pay for it or even help pay for it, he would hold it over my head, and that's not an option.
My daughter's future. Whatever she decides to do once she's done with school, I want her to have whatever she needs and be able to pay for it. I'll gladly go without if it means she never has to experience debt.
1000 dollars because currently if you donate over a 1000 dollars the the Ukrainian military you get a piece of a crashed su 34 and im a massive aviation nerd
Sounds stupid maybe, but heels and a wig.
I finally want to explore crossdressing, and these two things are going to be most costly
A new computer. This one is over seven years old and while it was top of the line when I got it, it's starting to have issues...
Currently about 75% of the way there saving for tickets to a twenty øne piløts concert. I'm so excited!!
I will be 50 in 2 years.
For the last 10 years, I have been saving for this Birthday Milestone.
August 2024, (my birthday month) I will "backpack" thru Europe and the UK. Staying in hotels along the way, Just take my time and go to places I love in Europe and UK
(I have been to places in Europe/UK but it seemed so rushed. I want to enjoy it at my pace)
A mustang. A cherry red preferably. Even though most I know want trucks and I'll get one when I drive but I'd really rather have a tuff car like a mustang to drive around.
I'm a mermaid performer at a local aquarium. (I talk to kids and take pictures with them) I'd love a silicone mermaid tail, and I'm saving up, but with college and everything I'm nowhere close
Hmm, let's see . . . I'm saving for a '67 cherry red mustang convertible, a Gryffindor jacket, this really pretty skirt and a vest and tucxido for my cat, Timothy❤️
these epic Louis Voutton shoes (i’m not even close to haveing enough money tho lel)
A house, we got our eviction notice as the landlord is selling the place, but we can't get a mortgage and finding a new place to rent is nearly impossible.
A new pair of Doc Martens. I've had my current pair for about 4 years, but they have definitely been through hell and back after seeing nearly daily wear for that whole time. I came to call them my toe savers after using them to help lower heavy platforms so everyone else could get their fingers out. They are very scuffed up, the soles just aren't what they used to be, ect. I'm loathed to replace them because they've really become a part of my routine, silly as it sounds. But the universe recently sent me a sign to just do it through one of the laces beginning to wear away. So I'm planning on honorably retiring them and buying a new pair of Docs for the upcoming school year.
I would like to save up for a trip to Bayeux France and see the Bayeux Tapestry and then to Lascaux to see the cave (well replica) once travel gets back to something "normal"
These tiny keyrings from Japan, theyre tiny about an inch big. I love fossils and dinosaurs and there’s a little ammonite and my favourite pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus 😍
This might sounds frivolous, but I'm really getting into woodworking and up-cycling pallets. I'm trying to sell some things I've made to buy a electronic planer, a decent one costs £350+.
At the moment it's a decent electric bicycle - I can't peddle a normal one anymore cause of lung damage from chemo but my missus really loves to ride her bike along the coast (we live about 200m from the sea). There are a few cheaper ones that I could get right now, but they're mostly crappier motors and firmly aimed more as 'peddle assist' ones that expect you to do half the work too... which I can't manage. I need one that's basically an electric wheelchair but bike shaped xd
ummm im not allowed to spend my own money lol
but if I was I would save up for a bike because I love cycling
a wacom tablet so i can use krita better and maybe be able to expand my small businesses more
Currently manifesting my first overseas trip in over 3 years. I WILL go to Iceland next year
Can I do past tense? If so, today I just bought a Japanese maple tree on sale! I had been waiting for months, for my local greenhouse to sell them, and permission from my landlady (mainly the permission). I'm so excited! I'm sorry if this doesn't fit properly here! Have a marvelous day to everyone!
Veterinary School. i love animals and want to help them and their owners because a lot of the time people get upset when their animal is hurt and I hate it when me, or anyone feels that way
Car maintenance. My car will be 10 years old next year and a few things will need to be replaced soon.
I’ve been saving up over a decade to spend a year in Hakodate, the first home I can remember.
I was also planning on spending a year in Sverdonetsk - my great grandparents on my dad’s side fled their home near there at the beginning of the holodomor, and I have always wanted to see their home.
I am saving up to go to Wales so I can experience The Mach Loop. Closest thing to being in a actual jet fighter.
I got a bunch so here we go. I'm mainly saving to get a gaming laptop rn. But I also want some comfort streamer/youtuber merch. And some pride flags because I don't have any yet. Oh, and to get the funds to visit my online friends in places like Canada/USA/Australia :3
I’m currently saving all of my change up so my dad can get a drink and a breakfast sandwich from Starbucks :) . He’s a penny pincher, so he always feels guilty if he spends money for himself, but would buy anything for his family. He works day and night, so we can have money. I love him, and I know it’s not a lot, but I’m hoping that if I just buy it with spare change, he would feel less guilty enjoying it.
Some off road modifications for my Subaru Outback. Already got a front skid plate on the way (had a few close calls with damage from rocks). New off road tires and rims are next.
Since I finally was able to get a contract job with a regular paycheck I was saving up to get into am apartment.
But with apartment rents being so high I still can't find one I can afford, so for now I'll probably try to buy a mobile home or a camper van.
Going to Disney world soon, saving up to get souvenirs. (Parents are paying for trip, I'm a teenager) Also, I want a Mikan cosplay (I'm her exact weight and height)
A trip through South America. Easter Island, Naszca Lines, Machu Pichu, Amazon, so far. I'm 65 and newly retired so going to start on that bucket list.
A new PC. The old one has served faithfully for over 6 years, but it can't run the new windows and some games are demanding more power than it can give.
As much dental work as possible. Thanks, teenager me who was too cool to brush properly and floss. Thanks a lot. If I could go back in time, I'd kick you.
Marrying the love of my life! We've got about 18 months left but it's exciting to think about!!
I have a wishlist. Right at the top is a car (paid with 100% cash) OR a down payment for a small house.
saving up to improve my architectural skill, currently working in an architecture firm for around 3.5 years, still saving up for getting my master degree, and hopefully can go to that country, and figuring things out.. around 5 years hopefully can survive and had a decent job.. after that i guess i had to see the beauty of the place while working in that country. but oh man, everything needs money
Car maintenance. My car will be 10 years old next year and a few things will need to be replaced soon.
An accustic guitar. I used to try around a little with the guitar of a friend one time and I loved the feeling and the sound.
Also, a new laptop. I have one (plus a tablet) but its quite old and has some technical issues.
Plus, a little piece of furniture to place my TV on and to put some chosen favourite books inside.
A trip around the world for just me - post covid & post-divorce, need to get away and reconnect with myself.
I just want an affordable computer that actually works and is not a stupid idiotic chrome book because you can’t do anything with this things and I just started a business with my friend that requires a computer!!!!
Sorry for all the ranting I just really had to get that out.
Basically I’m saving up for a computer that is good enough to actually work.
Car maintenance. Due to inflation, my used car is worth the same price I bought it for 5 years ago, so it makes sense for me to maintain it.
A binder. I really hope my mum doesn't find out though because an hour-long transphobic rant from her will not be good for my mental health :)
A Louis Vuitton bag. The weekender(Bandolier?) frivolous, yes. I’ve worked hard, put a kid through school and am paying for her wedding, so it would be a special treat for me.
Flying lessons to obtain my PPL. I am already a qualified glider pilot and I now want to learn to fly powered fixed-wing aircraft.
I'm saving up for anything that comes along, I don't need/want anything right now, but I know I will in the future!
I’ve just survived two surgeries. (Other pandas have reached out about my story with a fatal disease, so I’m excited to share this) I’m saving up to have a month away in another country next year to celebrate passing the one year mark where the docs said I might stumble backward in recovery and need more surgeries.
A Slytherin varsity jacket.
They're sooooo cute but they cost like 50-100 bucks!!!
I want one so bad tho lol
High school. Study abroad opportunities, special classes, extracurriculars, dates with friends, I just feel like it's a good idea to have a little in the bank
A house. At thus rate with crazy inflation I'll be saving for the rest of my life!
