I beat my previous record in Factory of 0.8 trillion dollars in 20 minutes. My new record is $5,816,364,524,070 in 35 minutes! It all pays off in the end!
I have this rule that if my son spends the night at a friend's house and if he wants to come home at anytime then I will pick him up. No matter the time. One night I got the call at 1 am. His buddy's house was only a few blocks away so I just walked over and got him. He was scared that I was mad. I assured him I wasn't and carried my 11 yr old son home. He thanked me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. He was asleep in my arms by the time we got home. The memory still brings a smile to lips.
It's not something that makes my day, but something I do that (hopefully) helps others have a good day. Whenever I buy something online, even if it's a food order, I always put "Thank you very much!" on the comments/notes/instructions sections of my orders. If I'm on the phone with a customer service person, I also make sure to thank them for being so nice at the end - even if my issue wasn't necessarily resolved, this person is just doing their job. I just want the person at the other end to know I am truly thankful for what they do. Not surprisingly, sometimes people will respond by sending things faster to me or sending a little extra something, or if a customer service rep, they'll go the extra mile to help me. It's such a small gesture but it can mean so much to someone, and it doesn't cost me anything AND makes me feel better too! Win win :)
I do this a lot, When on the phone to any customer support, if they solve the problem I always say, 'I love you'.
Everything once I get home.
My wife is small, my dogs are small, my goats are pygmy goats, so... Small. My miniature donkeys are small. My Bat, chickens, ducks, all small!
After work I get to go home to a whole host of small things that make me smile.
