1 day that changed my life was when my mom and dad parted. There's a company that allows kids to see their divorced parents, or the parents they aren't living with anymore. I used to visit my dad all the time there, but to visit, the parent had to call the agency to set up a meeting. We would visit each other every Saturday, until one day he just stopped calling. No goodbyes. And now I haven't seem him in 5 years.

I have two. One was a day I got to stay with my great grandma, We made hot coco ate baby ruth bars (they're her favorite) and went into her garden to pick sweet peas (just incase you are wondering she is 93 and doing well also this happened about 2 years ago) we came inside sat down and made a salad using some of the peas. We started chit chatting and she told me all about her childhood and growing up on a farm with 5 sisters and how they all had to share a bed that was made from hay and she told me about the hot summr days when they just canned all day. She told me about the day they finally let country kids go to the library to get books and how happy she was. She told me that she would get a book and hide away with it so she wouldn't have to do chores because if she was out of sight she was out of mind. Luckily I started recording and I've been in the process of writing a book about it for my future children, so they can learn about their great great grandma. It really showed me how far our world has come and really showed me that she went through a lot in her lifetime. The second one was the day my mom told me what a lesbian was because I finally had found something that described how I was feeling towards one of my friends. Those two things REALLY changed my life :)

When I was 14, I knew this boy Mark. He was REALLY cute [ ima girl. Not that boys cant like boys or bi or whatever but that's relevant] but we both liked the same music and still do and we emailed and stuff. But at one time we met up with our other two friends Evan and Elsa at the lake. But Evan and Elsa wanted to ride their bikes to the gas station a mile away to buy cheetos or something so Mark and I stayed to make sure no one took the things that we brought to the lake [ Money in case, food, extra clothes, etc] Well apparently Elsa- mark- and Evan, had made an elaborate plane to leave Mark and I alone, so Mark convinced me to go into a canoe in the lake until Elsa and Evan came back. So there we are in the Canoe and were laughing and talking ya know like friends, and then I said something and he said he I was funny and I smiled, and then he said I was cute and kissed me. soo he's my boyfriend of 4 years and Elsa and Evan are together too!

A few years ago, my wife and I were coming back to Texas from a trip to Las Vegas (we saw Cher, it was life changing). We had recently backed out from buying a home, and weren't sure what we wanted.
We saw an RV dealership near to where we lived, and decided to check it out. We wound up buying one (I wanted to live in one since childhood), and decided to live a nomadic lifestyle. It was the single best idea we ever had.
We live simply, minimized our "junk," gutted out the camper (and the one we have now) to create a tiny home with space for everything from yoga to dinner parties to belly dance (all in a 25 foot space!) The freedom of less bills and more leisure time helped me realize my childhood dream of being a professional artist, and my wife has started honing her woodworking and sewing skills. We have made new friends and have so many fun stories already, and life is great. Currently about to get a new truck to tow our camper, and then it's back to the road!

The day Dad was diagnosed with ALS. It was the answer we feared we’d get to all the strange symptoms he’d been experiencing, but we still held out hope that it was some other (non-terminal) neurological condition. He passed away a year and half later. Almost nine years on, I still sometimes wake up to sounds at night saying “I’m coming Dad” thinking that he’s needing help. Being a caregiver for him as he declined was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I’m so grateful I was able to be there with him.

The day my dad died, it was one of the worst days ever! I know he loved me but we never fully healed our relationship, because our issues had not been dealt with. It will hurt me till forever. I'm a grown woman, yet still miss my daddy.
