All countries have problems in them but most from other countries don't hear about them. What is an example of this? Post it here for us too see.

Donald Trump was president. Enough said.🙁
That was weird. I mean... US is one of the top 5 countries in the world... And that muppet was your president? Leave that s**t to "3rd world.countries" like mine. We're used to that.
Canada. The Indigenous were stripped of their land, given reserves to live on (some of which still don't have clean, drinking water, let alone proper plumbing). In the '60s to '90s, their children were needlessly ripped from their families and placed in horrifically abusive "Indian Residential Schools" run by the Catholic church. Many children died and were buried in unmarked graves.
Our Indigenous are still treated as second class citizens and the past atrocities are still being downplayed by ignorant and arrogant politicians. Check out Ex Manitoba Premier, Brian Pallister's embarrassing speech, and a recently sworn in Indigenous Minister's embarrassment on his first day.
United States. The number of school shootings, the way "corporate slaves" are raised up as the model all employees should strive to be, the obsession with brands (I'm not talking Gucci, I'm talking Starbucks, Target, Apple - yup, calling you out), the pressure to be an extrovert especially in the workplace, low wages, horrific "health care" (if it can even be called that), stubborn adherence to political parties even in the face of major issues with said party, ridiculous obsession with college sports, equally ridiculous obsession with American football (both of which actually and literally cause rifts in some families - yes, it's absurd), blind patriotism (it's not bad to want to protect your country, don't get me wrong - I'm talking about the people who immediately jump to the idea that we are the "greatest nation" and the world should be grateful we exist), terrible education systems (yes, I know, we have Harvard and Yale. We're also 38/71 in math and 24/71 in science (in an assessment from 2015). I won't even get into other fields, it's too embarrassing.), social injustice among both racial and gender lines, police brutality, no social safety nets, homelessness, terrible real estate market, most of the things we "make" actually are outsourced to workers in other countries so we can pay the workers less, most of what we "recycle" is actually sent to other countries (usually, China) to be dumped in landfills, pollution, the wealthy 1% (Bezos, Musk, etc.), working 40+ hours a week and still not being able to make ends meet, I mean I could go on, but you get the point...
UK here. Our colonial history is shocking, marched into any country we wanted and claimed it as our own whilst robbing the natives of their natural resources.
From India:People are killed in the name of religion.Muslims have been killed for carrying beef
Is there any such thing as a peaceful religion? People have been killing in the name of a religion, or because of religion, for millenia! The Crusades, 9-11, and the Holocaust are a few examples of senseless deaths in the name of religion. :-( The death you speak of was absolutely senseless! :-(
As I'm from Germany and everyone knows Germamy's past... Well, everyone knows the answer already. Right?
I'm from the U.S., we slaughtered almost all the natives back when America was just the settlers
Parents from Iran. Biggest problem is probably the fact that women don't have any rights, and our government is pretty broken. Air quality is also pretty bad. I went to Iran to visit my relatives for a month, and didn't see a single electric car :( I am still proud of Iran's culture, though...
united states. using an ambulance is an extra $3000
From the us an ambulance can cost thousands that your insurance can deny if you have it. That’s why we take Ubers to the er. Also leading cause of bankruptcy is medical debt. You can have insurance and pay 10s of thousands for hospital care
I'm German. Germany is Europe's centre of human trafficking.
That I live in an Australian state (Tasmania) that in the 1820's and 1830's actively worked to exterminate its Aboriginal population. They nearly succeeded.
Italy often is included on lists of countries that provide free universal health care. The health care in Italy is not free, not universal, and sometimes is of such low quality that it isn't even health care.
Italy is included on lists of countries where a university education is free. University isn't free in Italy. If you abandon your university studies, and want to go back years later, you have to pay all the taxes and fees you would have had to pay if you had been attending all those years, meaning you are paying thousands of euros for which you get absolutely nothing.
Also in Italy, public elementary schools and public high schools do not lend the students textbooks. The parent have to buy all their children's expensive text books in book stores.
Tkx god you keep it to recent times and issue's and didn't go on to the Roman Empire haha, some people here are all about their darker history
UK. Drinking culture here is absolutely horrendous and you're actively encouraged to spend all of your time/money blacking out every weekend because it's how we cope with adult life here.
Compare and contrast how the US celebrate St Patricks Day (with parades, green costumes and lots of diddly diddly) and how we do in the UK (getting drunk, puking a lot and usually getting into a fight outside a shabby Wetherspoons)
South Africa here, our previous president was in jail for a short time but is now out because he has been "sick" for a few months. Also You can't trust our police unless you have some cash to bribe them.
Yeah, he only served a fraction of his jail time, got out because no one in government gets held accountable for their corrupt actions. Our country has so much potential, it really is sad that we can't move forward and reach it :(
United States. I hate the fact that we are so divided and our politics are insane. I know that "American exceptionalism" has always been an exaggeration, but nonetheless seeing us going so downhill when I grew up in the post WW2 afterglow has been a big shock and disappointment to me.
Belgium. 11M population. 6 separate governments + senate. Highest tax rate on labour in the world.
And a lot of problems of xenophobia. I never expected this from Belgium but it is really getting out of hand. I had many bad experiences. From the social worker who threatened me with deportation when i asked about my rights as a disabled person, to multiple public employees yelling at me for making a mistake while speaking in their language, to a doctor telling me (when i just arrived) in english that he refused to attend me because i was not fluent yet in flemish, to TWO dog trainers refusing me service because our dogs are trained in english (i was speaking flemish with the trainers, they just needed to listen to me using english commands).
Spain. Besides all our past as conquerors in America (North and South), we allied with Germany in WW2 and we had a "nice little man" who idolized Hitler and his tomb is cemented with the bones of the people they forced to build it.
And provoking civil wars over "no balls to do it, bro".
Even to this day we still yell at each other about who was to blame for the civil war and who did what, even our government does it.... While they spend the money of the European funds and we still have many people without work and half the country depopulated with ghost towns that do not even have drinking water or electricity...
But, hey, our beaches are cool places to go on vacations...
All countries have warts, historical and current. The furere will be what we make it, for better or worse. Each of us has responsibility to work for positive change, even if it is only by our individual actions in everyday life. Not all heroes are celebrities or act at a national level. Grass roots change is the most effective and long lasting. If we want positive change, we all must work for it every day and lead by example. Positive change originates with the people, it cannot be effectively legislated from the top down.
This is a wonderful idea but meeting in the middle would be faster
That it was founded by a group of slave owners demanding their freedom by proclaiming "all men are created equal."
Ooookay....
The 13th amendment abolished slavery. Women got added in the 19th amendment 19th also allowed women to vote, but the constitution was written in 1787 slaves got in the constitution in 1865 and women got in the constitution in 1919, which is around 2 decades until all African Americans and women got in and had rights. There’s your history lesson.
I'm from the U.S., it's a major polluter
And it's NOT just because of the high population: Emissions per capita are extremely high as well. China emits more CO2 than the US in total, but less per capita, because of the huge population and every company in the world sending their stuff to China to be made by SLAVES.
Chile here. The military took the power by force on September 11 1973 then we were in a total dictature for 17 years. People got tortured, murdered, bodies disappeared, people were prosecuted, children were stolen and given into adoption and many of the trash humans who collaborated with the dictature's "procedures" were ex-nazis.... We're still paying today the consequences of some "reformations" so we're changing the constitution.
"apartheid" is the only word from the Dutch language known worldwide.
In the US we have legalized political bribery. They're called lobbyists. Corporations pay them to donate millions of dollars to politicians to pass laws that benefit their bottom lines and hurt citizens.
Donald Trump + Associates.
I’m from the United States. Vietnam war.
My entire adolescence was filled with the Vietnam War, including devastating pictures shown on the news every night. I spent an entire year during 2001-2002 traveling around Southeast Asia, and when I went to the site of the My Lai Massacre, I bought flowers and placed one on every single grave I could find, sobbing the entire time. The Vietnam war was a national disgrace and is up there with the measles/smallpox blankets given to the Native Americans!
UK - that most of the population are massively institutionally racist, nationalistic and hanker for past times where the only contribution we made to the world stage was to try and invade bits of it for profit. Also our class system is stomach-churningly inhuman
In the United States, there are 7 states that won't allow atheists to run for office.
Kim's "test" missiles always fly toward my country. The latest one, today, landed 150 km off coast.
Also, China and Russia are geographically too close (neighboring countries) and not friendly.
Guess where I live.
Australia: The Immigration Restriction Act (901-1958) otherwise know as the White Australia Policy (1901-1973-ish). Immigration was restricted from non-white, non-british applicants with a Dictation Test. The way they did it was a European language test of 50 words. No matter how many languages a person spoke, they could pick any other European language as the test. The most famous example was a Jewish man who spoke 4 different languages. They tested him with the lord's prayer... in Scottish Gaelic.
Our prime minister and his father have both caused several issues….
There are still Trump supporters
My sister lives next to an ass that flew a F**k Biden flag above the American flag.
US, the education/healthcare systems are crappy; there are also more GUNS than people. That's right, guns.
What is wrong with this country?!
The amount of assholes and people who should know better here in the US. In one thing to admit your a a*****e and try to be better, but it's a entire nother thing to insist that "it's your rights".
Also America isn't better than other countries and we should really start seeing that
Like for instance, I would need a adult to take me to somewhere I could file a report of abuse. Or a friend. If I run away and submit the report of abuse they can and most likely will take me right back to my parents. Also the mental health system is literally in ruins and costs way too much, and that's completely ignoring the physical health scene.
Stolen generation, where part indigenous children were taken away from their loving homes and placed in 'schools', usually catholic run and very abusive, not only that, many never found their family again.
I'm from the United States... we owned slaves
"We" as a country, did not own slaves. A select handful of americans did though. If you want things to get better, lose the blanket statements.
Guess..
± 17,000 islands
± 1,340 tribes
± 718 native language
Now 87% of our population bow down to middle east so called God, disrespect our own ancestors and called them "infidel"..
Native beliefs can't survive to maintain our original way of connection with our own land..
Greece:
Glorious past, disappointing present.
Modern Greeks are nothing like their ancient counterparts they love to brag about. They revel in the glory of an ancient civilization that has nothing to do with today's situation. Today, Greeks are rude and disrespectful, they don't learn from their mistakes, they always blame someone else (accountability? what's that?), the government is very corrupt, and a lot of competent Greeks leave because there's more room to grow in other countries, while in Greece they don't have the same chance for a bright future.
I also left and moved to Canada to be with my partner, I fell in love with the place here! And the more I see how things are different here, the more I see how awful the situation is in Greece. My intention is to never live in Greece again.
Gojira (the 1954 Godzilla) is based on us. Gojira is an allegory for the USA and the unseen side of the Nuclear Bomb. Also, despite being only 50 meters, he weighs 20,000 metric tons, which is A LOT for such a (relatively) small size. This is also probably due to the fact he represents America.
Mexico. More of journalists are killed here than any other country, including war zones. We toppled Aghanistan and Syrian last year. as the deadliest country for journalists. And despite what our current president says, crime and corruption rates are increasing.
I think the fact that its called america is enough. I mean, look at our medical system.
I’m from the US. I hate that we discriminated against Black people for a while.
Why the past tense? The current voting restrictions being legislated by so many Republican states clearly are aimed at minimising their chances to vote. Evidence: See the Texas primary results and all the disallowed votes.
We got conquered for 300 + years. YEARS
Germany
There is an annual protest against Israel and jews in general (Al Quds march) in bigger cities. Given our history...
Jews dont deserve any hate of course. But Isreal should have never happened and its a horrible place. Europe had no right to give Palestinian land to the jews, there was people living there already. Now they are being abused and killed in terrible ways. What happened in ww2 was horrible but it is not an excuse to what is happening in Israel now.
over 600,000 Americans die from heart disease or unhealthy eating habits- applauding Taco Bell and Arby’s
It's America, what more do I have to say...?
Gun laws, psychopaths, shitty healthcare, racism, the list goes go on and on
We are in the process of bringing in new laws which Médecins Sans Frontières says will make us one of the most anti-refugee countries in the world (not that we were good before).
Here in Sweden it’s like a constant civil war, the people from skåne hates the people from Stockholm and they hate each other, everyone hates everyone. A second thing is that anyone can be anything, so you can’t go around arresting people for just being a little racist.
the phillipines. it was ruled by spain for 333 years, was sold to america, then 30 years later (brutally and bloodily) japan attacked us.
A lot of these posts are like this, but the US's healthcare system sucks, they treat foreigners like trash, and minimum wage jobs everywhere.
From China. First of all, there is pollution. I think China's the most polluted country. Second of all, the schools. They literally force them to wear the red thing. Third, the kids are educated about politics at a young age and learn to be biased. I think that they should not get educated about politics until like, 16. Fourth, although same-sex relationships are legal, they're not allowed to marry nor adopt. LGBT+ people have to face many legal and social challenges that aren't experienced by cisgender heterosexual residents (especially the Chinese ones, I feel like China hates immigrants). China provides no anti-discrimination protections for LGBT people, nor does it prohibit hate crimes based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Spain. Besides all our past as conquerors in America (North and South), we allied with Germany in WW2 and we had a "nice little man" who idolized Hitler and his tomb is cemented with the bones of the people they forced to build it.

Children get beaten a lot and it’s legal. Every kid has been beaten by their parents at some point. There are ads on TV for products that make your skin more lighter since society here believes that darker skinned people will never be married. Most people here judge Muslims and assume they are bad and from Pakistan. And of course there is the part where a student gets scolded if they get a B. Guess the country
Everyone mess us with Slovakia! C'mon, we live in third millenium, show a little common sense when playing state anthems!
