Nobody likes waking up at 2 A.M. thinking they were just forced to eat paste or else their hamster would fall 4,000 feet and then the world would explode as a result. Well, you know, something like that. Share your worst, weirdest, or just plain terrifying dreams… and remember, none of it is real. :)

Almost every night from the time I was 14 up till 35 I dealt with sleep paralysis. Sometimes it was just while falling asleep (racing heartbeat /breathing screaming on the inside trying to wake myself up because I can’t move or speak) but other nights it was horrendous. I swear the horror movie ‘Smile’ was written by someone that dealt with sleep paralysis because that’s exactly what taunted me for over 20 years, a tall black shadow man with no face or distinctive features (pure concentrated evil) other than this evil smile. But it could never enter my bedroom. It was always in my doorway smiling this evil smile, it could somehow move things around in my room (I’m guessing telepathically?) but it itself never entered. In my dream I would scream and cry and pray and throw things at it but it was always there. To make it worse, more often than not, I would wake up in the mornings somehow on my stomach with my arms crisscrossed underneath me, completely numb and unable to move from laying on them. I was terrified to go to sleep every night, but as the years went on I taught myself ways to wake myself up. Then one night my husband and I were visiting family and staying in their guest room, I don’t know what was different this night but it was the one and only time that thing ever entered my room and I will never forget the fear I felt when it first stepped through the door way. Whatever boundary that had kept him out before was gone and put evil had just stepped into that bedroom. I have never felt pure fear like that before. It never touched me or anything but it instilled a fear in me that I had never felt before and hope I never do again. I woke up screaming and crying and freaked my husband all the way out, but That was the last time it ever happened it’s been 3 1/2 years and no sleep paralysis. I don’t know why but it just stopped after that.
oh my gosh. nobody should suffer from this! i’m so sorry haley, but i’m glad it has stopped ❤️
